At Luxe Beat, one of our favorite things is luxurious dining. However, these beautiful and delicious foods would not be possible without the talent and skills of their fabulous chefs! Take a look at some of our favorite chefs below.

1. Rafael De Freitas

“In the early years, Chef De Freitas spent many hours learning to bake varieties of breads in a Portuguese bakery and then taught himself to make cakes. He loved the artistry of creating each item so much so that he eagerly taught others the secrets to baking while living in Mozambique. Baking had definitely become his passion.” -M’Liss Hinshaw. Full article here…

2. David Kelman

“David Kelman, executive head chef,
respects quality food, and makes a point of buying locally and cooking according to the seasons. His favorite ingredients include quail and lamb, but his idea of a perfect meal is a good glass of wine with cheese, ham and pickles and some fresh crusty bread.” -Maralyn Hill. Full article here…

3. Milton Rebello

“If the Farmers’ Market doesn’t have something he wants, Chef Milton will simply plant it in his family’s garden, where he, his wife Louise (also a gifted chef) and two small daughters, Skye and Livia, grow fruits, vegetables, edible flowers and herbs. A large portion of the space is devoted to a variety of mustard plants, one of his favorite ingredients.” -Janice Nieder. Full article here…

4. Tylun Pang

“He has also contributed many of  his treasured family recipes. They may be derived from humble plantation cooking, but here at Ko they always have a new twist. Like his ahi tuna served on a hot lava rock in a bed of salt, searing itself as  the waiter brings it to your table. This is how chef surprises guests and local kama‘ina alike at Ko.” -Michelle Winner. Full article here…

5. Jet Tila

“I can’t imagine any serious foodie who wouldn’t want to get to know the chef who culinary personality and best-selling author Anthony Bourdain brought his “No Reservations” crew to Los Angeles to work with to coordinate a Thai Town segment for Travel Channel’s hugely popular “No Reservations” series. I mean if Anthony Bourdain trusts Chef Tila to provide the ultimate foodie experience for his audience, what are you waiting for?” -Linda Kissam. Full article here…
