Luxury Evening Spa Experience

The spa inside the The Peninsula Beverly Hills was under construction for three weeks to elevate guests experiences and stand apart from the other spas in Beverly Hills. Not only did the spa add new products and services, but this summer they are offering unique spa experiences for this summer.

Recently the Global Wellness Institute determined that the Spa economy was a $119 billion business and the global wellness industry grew by 6.4 percent annually from 2015–2017, from a $3.7 trillion to a $4.2 trillion market, nearly twice as fast as global economic growth.

The newly enhanced multi-million dollar spa at The Peninsula Hotel Beverly Hills offers seven newly decorated treatment rooms plus a beautiful blow out bar, nail suite, serenity lounge and dry saunas. There is a dramatic and healthful Himalayan salt crystal wall that activates by heat, and aids in releasing serotonin in the body. This helps with jet lag, memory, and aids in elevating mood.

Recently I was invited to take a tour of the Spa and enjoy mini treatments by the Spa therapists using some of the new and preferred product lines, including Medical Beauty Research, Luzern, Biologique Recherche and Subtle Energies.

I learned that hotel guests can purchase a 30-minute express Do-It-Yourself treatment poolside in the Spa Cabana. There are three Subtle Energies Escapes available. One is cool and zesty to perk up guests, another is a clam floral and soothing journey. The last is made with exotic spices and cooling oils to revive and balance energy. All are a three step antioxidant treatment to cool, sooth and refresh your skin during the summer. The treatment package is brought to guests in their cabana with three chilled lime or rose enhanced face towels, along with a hydration mist, a face and body hydration mask and replenishing body lotion. Each escape treatment is served with a fresh coconut.

The Peninsula Spa Beverly Hills offers weekday pool access for Spa guests with evening appointments from 5 to 10 p.m. Spa guests can go for a pre or post treatment swim in the 60 foot long heated pool and hot tub. Not only does this enhance a spa experience, but it offers one of the best panoramic view areas of the Los Angeles skyline.

Arrive at sunset and dine at the patio at The Roof Garden. It’s a favorite with Beverly Hills residents and hotel guests serving fresh Californian cuisine throughout the day. On the menu some of the dishes are marked with the ‘Naturally Peninsula’ designation – low in fat and cholesterol.

On weekends in the summer, chefs barbecue fresh fish, chicken, steaks and Chef David Codney’s special Angus beef burger, served with Maui sweet onion and Hook’s two year aged white cheddar.

Pool access will be extended to all Spa guests from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm for appointments booked Monday through Friday from 6:00 pm onwards. Usage of the property’s idyllic 60-foot outdoor pool and hot tub further enhances The Peninsula Spa experience which includes indulgent (take out eucalyptus steam rooms) (and add) Himalayan dry sauna, private changing rooms with a relaxation area and serenity lounge.
