Luxe Beat: What inspired the October Wellness Fest?

Victoria Yanakova: Known as one of the largest thermal spa resorts in Greece, our guests travel to Miraggio with high expectations of our wellness offering, hoping to leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Due to this popular demand, we were inspired to emphasize this by giving free and unlimited access to our Mythria Thermal Spa during October, in order to give every guest a chance to indulge in luxury spa treatments and reap the benefits of our thermal and thalassotherapy waters, as we believe this is what truly makes us unique. As well as this, in line with our luxury family wellness USP, we wanted to ensure every guest was involved in our Wellness Fest in order to promote an aspect of community spirit, with a range of treatments available for both adults and children alike.

Luxe Beat: What are the benefits of the thermal spring?

Victoria Yanakova: Canistro thermal water leaves the earth at a temperature of 32 degrees and is rich in the key minerals and marine elements – especially magnesium, calcium, sodium and potassium, which have natural healing benefits and a therapeutic effect when soaking into the skin pores. The Myrthia Thermal Spa at Miraggio is unique to all other spas of its kind as it boasts direct access to a rare combination of both this locally sourced thermal water and sea water, which work simultaneously to stimulate the body’s detoxification process and supports immune system. In particular, combination of thermal water and thalassotherapy treatments by Thalion work to improve metabolism, normalize blood pressure, reduce stress levels, improve quality of sleep, relieve muscle aches and address skin problems.

Miraggio boasts the only luxury hotel in Northern Greece with its own mineral rich thermal spring Kanistro, where a rare combination of both sea and thermal waters, famed for their natural healing properties, can be found across four different pools. During the Wellness Fest, guests can experience these soothing pleasures in the large thalassotherapy pool which is fed in directly from the sea, reaching a heavenly temperature of 32 degrees, and in the thermal well-life suite with steam baths, a Finnish sauna, herbal sauna, two experience showers and a cold plunge walking path.

The Wellness Fest programme at Miraggio will also offer guests the chance to indulge in massages and traditional Greek spa treatments using olive oil, yoghurt and honey, as well as a variety of free yoga, aqua-bike, dance and fitness classes for those looking to keep active during their stay. After a day of relaxation, guests can then re-nourish in the resort’s new Healthy Corner at Kritamo Restaurant, making this spectacular resort the perfect place to rebalance both the body and mind this October.
