Single Rider Golf Cart Allows Social Distancing

Single Rider Golf Cart Allows Social Distancing
The pandemic and its subsequent social distancing requirements are changing golf courses around the world. The way avid golfers experience their favorite courses is being changed by the biggest evolution in the golf cart industry: the single rider movement.

Phat Scooters is at the forefront of the single rider golf cart movement. It’s a company that produces a series of fun-to-ride, all-electric, single-rider scooters, including Phat Golf Scooters.

The growing single-rider movement naturally fits physical distancing practices, offers golfers a faster pace of play and has less impact on turf than a four-wheel golf car. Phat Golf Scooters also deliver an exciting new experience for golfers as they can quickly and individually drive to their ball. Phat Scooters’ HD Golf Scooter is a two-time winner of Golf Digest’s Editor’s Choice Award, and was recently featured in ESPN.

Additional details about Phat Golf Scooters:

  • Time to play a round of golf on a single rider scooter is 2 hours / down from 4.5 hours
  • The shortened time to play is attracting a younger golfing demographic
  • Phat Scooters, manufacturer of the HD Golf Scooter is a leader in the single-rider movement.
  • Phat Scooters recently partnered with Troon, the leader in golf club management, development, and marketing
  • Phat Scooters recently added entertainment and media visionary Les Garland to its Advisory Board. Les Garland is the co-creator of MTV and co-founder of VH-1.
Derrick Mains, President of Phat Scooters says, “Nobody’s really sure what the future holds, and all of the sudden the golf cart is potentially a paperweight or a liability. Even from the courses that would traditionally tell us never in a million years, now all the sudden they’re telling us, ‘Well, maybe we will use them.'”
