World of Hyatt Teams with Lindblad Expeditions

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is collaborating with Lindblad Expeditions, a global provider of expedition cruises and adventure travel experiences, are offering a new loyalty benefit for World of Hyatt members.

One of the small Lindblad Expeditions ships is the National Geographic Venture. She is the second new ship built in Lindblad’s history and launched in December 2018. Offering 50 spacious rooms with 22 of them featuring a step-out balcony with two chairs and a table. Six cabins connect for families and groups to be close together.

Each cabin offers a pillow-top pocketed coil 13-inch thick mattress, fitted with 310-thread count sheets and Pima cotton/ploy pillow cases. The lustrous cases are on two different styles of firm and soft down-like queen size pillows. They are hypo-allergenic, micro-fiber fill, with 100% cotton shell. Down pillows are also available from the Hotel Manager.

Featured on the ship include a 24-hour self service Beverage Station at the entrance of the Lounge. Guests have access to ice, soda, fresh juice and triple filtered water. Espresso and coffee is available, and beer and soda is located in the refrigerator. The Library is located in this area with games, puzzles, snacks, and an array of books.

The lounge holds cocktail hour and a recap discussion each evening. Presentations, photography talks, and guest speaker presentations take place in this room designed to  take advantage of the wraparound windows for an optimal views. Multiple high- definition screens rise from cabinets are displayed for slideshows and videos.

The Bar is located on the Lounge Deck on the port side. Open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. The bar offers a variety of beverages including beer, wine, cocktails, specialty drinks, spirits and wines by the glass.

Also on this deck is a beautiful Dining Room offering open with unassigned seating at ocean view tables. To ensure limiting food waste, guests are encouraged to sign up for their choice of dinner selections early in the day at the entrance.

Meals vary depending on the day’s activities. Early risers Continental Breakfast is from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m., Breakfast is from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., Lunch 12:30 to 13:30 p.m. and dinner begins at 7 p.m. Breakfast is made to order omelets and eggs, fresh fruit, cereals, gluten free options, breads and jams. Lunch is buffet and family style, Chefs prepare pasta, salad, soup, carving fresh-roasted meats and a complete salad bar. Dinner is a three course plated menu featuring an appetizer, main course with a fresh fish, meat and vegetarian option and a dessert.

Activities on the ship include a Fitness Center offering ellipticals, treadmills, bicycles, free weights, yoga mats, exercise bands and sets of small hand weights. An onboard Wellness Specialist leads a morning stretch class to invigorate guests before the day’s activities. The LEXspa offers massage, body treatments, facials, hand and foot treatments from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Treatments are on a first come, first serve basis.

Comfortably accommodating 100 guests, the National Geographic Venture’s shallow draft depth allows the ship to navigate into areas all around the world, that larger cruise ships can’t maneuver into for intimate experiences.

Passengers enter the back aft of the ship’s Mud Room to stand on two Zodiac landing platforms to board a small raft to take go for wildlife sightings off the ship. The mud room has lockers that provide gear, life jackets and boot storage.

The Bow of the National Geographic Venture is specially designed as an observation area to accommodate all passengers for a shared wildlife viewing experience.

Outdoor programs include nature walks, hiking, paddle board and kayak tours depending on the port and weather conditions.

Lindblad Expeditions provides access to over 300 cruise experiences per year, exploring some of the most naturally remarkable destinations, including Arctic Svalbard, Antarctica, Alaska, Galapagos, Baja California, Costa Rica, Panama, the Amazon, Mediterranean, New Zealand, Africa, and British Isles.
