4 Wedding Planning apps to get you organised for your big day

Planning a wedding is no easy task. Many plates require spinning to get this important day planned without a hitch and we have the tools for you. Thanks to technology, no longer are couples required to cut out inspiration from magazines and stick them into a scrapbook; apps are here to help. Below, we’re going to break down our favourite wedding planning apps to get you organised for your wedding day.

1. Pinterest

Firstly let’s talk about Pinterest, a digital mood board perfect for storing all of your ideas. While this isn’t specifically for wedding planning, it’s one the wedding community’s go-to platforms for planning. You can create boards from every aspect of your big day:

  • Wedding dress (Usually the first thing brides pin)
  • Suits (Great to inspire the groom)
  • Venue (One of the most important elements of wedding planning)
  • Guest amenities (you can’t forget essentials such as toilets)

Perfect for: Getting all of your ideas in one place.

2. Instagram

Similarly to Pinterest, Instagram isn’t exactly a wedding planning app. But it can really help in finding inspiration. There is a whole bridal community there where like-minded people help each other plan their weddings by sharing their own planning journey.

Instagram works like Pinterest where you can make boards and share images on your page, but it’s also a great place to ask questions and run polls such as:

  • Venue recommendations in the East of England
  • What are the best flowers in spring?
  • Hair up or down?
  • Veil or no veil?

Perfect for: Connecting with other people planning their wedding and getting feedback on ideas.

3. Bridebook

Bridebook is a great resource for wedding planning – and as the name suggests, Bridebook is designed purely for wedding planning. Bridebook works as one big to-do list (probably the most important to-do list in your life) with every single thing you need to consider. Elements you can easily plan with Bridebook include:

  • The guestlist
  • A checklist
  • The budget
  • A shortlist
  • Advice
  • Gift list

Perfect for: Making sure nothing is forgotten. If you love making lists and ticking things off, Bridebook is a great option for you.
