High West Whiskey donates to American Prairie
It’s Great Outdoors Month, and Utah’s first legal distillery since 1870, High West Distillery has launched the Prairie Dash, a limited-time mobile and desktop compatible game crafted in support of long-time partner and the non-profit organization, American Prairie.
Whiskey drinkers and gaming enthusiasts can play during the month of June, an interactive game to help conserve the great outdoors and give back to the natural habitat of Montana’s Great Plains. For every game played, High West Distillery will donate $1 to American Prairie, up to $50,000. Players compete in a collection of quick-time challenges from the perspective of a pronghorn, North America’s fastest land animal indigenous of the West.
During each game, players can use their thumbs to try and reach 61 miles per hour, the speed of the pronghorn, during challenges through herds of bison and clearing debris.
One lucky player will be announced in July, and have the opportunity to win a curated adventure with a travel companion out to Park City, Utah, and experience the Wild West.
High West loyalists can purchase the distillery’s American West Bourbon on https://buy.highwest.com or through Drizly and 10% of the after-tax sales will be donated to American Prairie. This Montana-based nonprofit started assembling land in 2004, to permanently hold title to private lands and collaborate with state and federal agencies for wildlife conservation and public access.
On the nose, American Prairie Bourbon offers a light caramel and sweet vanilla aroma. Tasting notes include rich and earthy balanced flavors of candy corn, honey nougat and sweet corn bread biscuits. The lingering finish provides vanilla with a hint of caramel apple.
High West Distillery is best known for its innovative and award-winning whiskey blends. Besides American Prairie Bourbon, they make Double Rye!, Rendezvous Rye and Campfire, in addition to a newly launched collection of ready-to-drink Barrel Finished Cocktails.
