Apothic Wine is ‘Spook’tacular this fall

Looking for a smooth, bold, jammy red wine to serve with hearty and savory fall and winter fare? Apothic Wines – Apothic Red, Apothic Cab and an Apothic Darkare wonderful starter wines for anyone looking to dive into flavorful reds. Their price, taste and enjoyment make great holiday gifts for those on your list, but be sure to purchase a few for yourself while staying safer at home.

The visually appealing labels add a little mystery in silver, white and red colors. The Apothic Cab label has a blood red colored ribbon weaving through the ‘A’ for Apothic. This is the first single varietal bottle ever produced by Apothic Wines. It’s so well liked, that it has become a permanent addition to the Apothic Wine portfolio.

Opening the bottle and pouring into a glass, one notices a smooth and silky aroma of jammy fruit. Taking a sip, there is the essence of black currant and blackberries, with a hint of vanilla. It’s a dangerously delicious smooth Cabernet with low in tannins, leaving one to long for a second glass.

The Apothic Dark wine is a blend of Zinfandel, Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. The luscious liquid is fuller and a more savory red blend, offering dark fruit, floral elements and opulent notes of coffee and dark chocolate. These flavors enhance the smooth, yet richer wine drinking experience.

The Apothic Red is smilier in taste to an easy drinking Merlot wine. Since it’s a blend with Zinfandel, this wine is full-bodied with a tasting experience of pleasing dark berries and a cinnamon stick finish. Known for a fair amount of residual sugar (13.5% ABV), this wine offers a velvety mouthfeel that lingers in your palate.

All the wines are produced in California by the Golden State’s largest wine exporter, E.J. Gallo. They all are at an affordable price point, especially when you find it on sale at your local grocery, around $10.

To liven up your Halloween, order an Apothic Mystery Pack to be delivered to your front door. You will receive a mix of 6 varieties in a box, with a few hard-to-find favorites. It’s the perfect treat for Halloween. The offer expired October 21, 2020 at 11:59 p.m.

Red wines are known to have a shorter staying power once opened, and should be consumed in three to five days when corked and sitting in a cool and dark place.
