Autumn Inspired TYKU Sake Cocktails

Autumn Inspired TYKU Sake Cocktails

Now that we are entering the colder months, here’s some fall-themed cocktail recipes to warm you up. TYKU Sake is a premium, modern, clean and hip alternative to wine that you can drink alone or mix with a spirit for a delicious cocktail.

Sake used to be a male dominated craft industry, but now it’s finally opening up to women who are becoming sake brewers and even a President. Umenoyado Brewery in the heart of Nara, Japan, is known as the “birthplace of sake.” This sake brewery has been overseen by the Yoshida Family for over 124 years, spanning five generations. Tradition is the eldest male becomes the president, however when the fourth president Akira Yoshida was ready to step down, his daughter Kayo Yoshida became the first female brewery president in Nara, Japan.

In Japan, sake sales have declined in over 30 years, so President Kayo Yoshido started changing the perception of sake. TYKU Sake is made from only four natural ingredients: premium non-GMO rice, pure soft water, yeast, and handmade koji. It’s gluten-free, sulfite-free, tannin-free, and five times less acidic than wine.

When drinking sake It’s best served chilled. Proper etiquette is to pour sake in the glasses of others, and not your own. It’s a sign of respect and appreciation for this enjoying sake with you.

TKYU makes five unique expressions created for every type of sipping experience: Junmai, Junmai Daiginjo, Junmai Ginjo, Coconut Nigori and Cucumber.
