Guests gather at El Palmar Restaurant for their signature continental or full breakfast buffet. Westin offers a selection of nourishing green and tropical juices, plus al la carte menu items and a Wellness Menu. These lighter breakfast items include avocado toast on whole grain bread. Outside on the Saltillo tile patio is a culinary team member preparing made to order tacos with fresh ingredients and freshly pressed tortillas.

During the lunch hour and in the evening, the outdoor Cebichería Arrecifes is a popular spot for a margarita and warm tortilla chips to dip into freshly made guacamole. Grab a seat to look out onto the ocean while the culinary staff make fresh ceviche to order and pour tequilas for a tasting experience. Guests sit under the round palapa for a Mexican beer paired with an array of casual lunch and dinner dining menu delights.

Play Well

The centerpiece of the resort are two expansive blue tile swimming pools dotted with small islands and palm trees throughout the lagoon style design. The Periquillos pool is a favorite for families, while the Tlaquepaque pool is more for adults with its swim-up bar with in-water tile stools.

After a swim, ask one of the valets in the front of the resort for a bicycle to take for a ride around the marina district on bike paths. They will give you a map for directions to visit the Westin’s sister resort Marriott Puerto Vallarta. Ride through luxury neighborhoods to an eclectic array of architecture, and be sure to see the beautiful mosaic tile art wall. Stop in the marina to see the million dollar yachts, plus stores for shopping and variety of dining venues.

The Westin fitness studio offers full circuit cardio machines, free weights and early morning yoga and Zumba workout classes. The Spa has expert facialists and massage therapists for a morning or afternoon wellness treatment or relaxing massage.

Outside there are tennis courts to hit some balls, and a nearby golf course. Westin created an outdoor running and jogging pocket map for guests to follow along the beach.
