Fall Family Activities at San Diego’s Mission Bay

Why fly to Hawaii when the Catamaran Resort puts on their Traditions of Polynesia show every Saturday at 1 p.m. It’s an electrifying show featuring drummers, hula dancers, and a torch lighting carries on the island vibe.
Kids Free San Diego Month
Bahia and Catamaran resorts welcomes children aged 12 and under to eat at Dockside 1953 in th Bahia Resort for a free kid’s meal with each paid adult entrée. Families can enjoy a scenic boat ride aboard the Bahia Belle sternwheeler for free too until October 31. Guests who pay an adult fare will receive a complimentary kids’ tickets for the sightseeing cruise on Mission Bay, departing from the Bahia and Catamaran.
Aloha Spirit at Catamaran Resort
It’s island time, all the time at the Catamaran Resort, San Diego’s premier tropical oasis on Mission Bay. ApoolsideKeiki Klub(Kids Club) is open on Saturdays from 1-3 p.m. Little ones can participate in complimentary interactive Hawaiian-inspired arts and crafts activities. Bird Show
Get up close and personal beautiful red macaws and meet Bianchi, a vibrant blue and gold macaw known for his animal impressions. There are five other captivating parrots during the popular Bird Show at Catamaran Resort’s outdoor enchanted tiki room. Shows take place outside the lobby area daily at 3 p.m., except on Sundays and Wednesdays.
While at Catamaran’s Oceana Coastal Kitchen kids under 12, get to enjoy a complimentary kid’s meal for each paid adult entrée.
For those looking to have some fun on the bay, Action Sport Rentals at both resorts is offering kids a free stand-up paddle board or kayak rental with the purchase of one adult one-hour or longer rental.
Frightful Fun Cruise
Dress in costume to sail away listening to music on the William D. Evans Halloween Cruise. This fun theme cruise is on October 27 from 9 p.m.-12 a.m. The boat departs from the Bahia Resort pier with two live DJs onboard. There are spooky bar specials including La Muerte Margarita and a Witch’s Brew, and the concessions stand is open to all. Enter the costume contest, and be sure to capture your creative costume in the onboard photo booth to capture all of the “spook-tacular” moments throughout the night. Partygoers must be 21+. Tickets cost $35 per person; $105 for a 4-pack of tickets.
After Dark Cruise
Make some waves on the ultimate night time party boat, Bahia Belle. The After Dark Cruise tours the bay on Fridays and Saturdays from 8 to 11:30 p.m. Guests can dance to live music and enjoy cocktails and craft brews on calm water. Partygoers must be 21+. The cruise departs from both resorts and a ticket costs $15 per passenger.
Yoga On The Bay
Guests at the Catamaran Resort can enjoy a beachfront yoga class daily starting at 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. This complimentary open-air yoga session is a relaxing way to stretch and start the morning. Mats are provided.
Fall Movies On The Bay
Both the Bahia and Catamaran resorts host complimentary outdoor, family-friendly movie nights for guests. Movies on the Bay take place at the Catamaran every Friday night at sunset, and on Saturdays at the Bahia Resort on the front patio at 7 p.m.
