Girlfriend Getaway at Mountain High Ski Resort

Mountain High ski resort in Southern California offers fun winter programs designed for skiers and snowboarders of all ages. 

Girlfriends can purchase a three-visit lesson package and drive up to learn how to ski of improve their recreational skiing or snowboarder skills. This special includes rental equipment, and three different one hour and 45 minute lessons at either 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. Skiers and snowboarders will improve one ability level each day.

For Girlfriends ages 50 years old and up, the Senior STARS Clinic is a special program only on Wednesdays for all skill levels. Learn new movement patterns associated with the newer shaped skis or improve old skiing or snowboard techniques. 

First time STARS skiers should check in before 9 a.m., to attend a thirty minute indoor clinic, before the start of on-mountain training from 9:30 a.m. until noon.

Clinics are conducted by senior certified instructors and participants will learn a few new skills, make some new acquaintances, build confidence on the slopes, and develop a new appreciation for winter sports at Mountain High.

Afterwards, sit outside in the sun and enjoy burgers, sandwiches and a full bar at Foggy Goggle.

This special is every Wednesday now through March, 2020. Mention Senior STARS Clinic at the ticket window before 9:30 a.m., and pay $30. Those celebrating a birthday now through March can bring some friends and celebrate at Mountain High to receive either a free lift ticket or a free tubing ticket at Yeti’s Snow Parks. You must arrive on your actual birthday, and show a valid photo I.D.

Open 7 days a week Yeti’s Snow Parks is where visitors can slide down a tube, go sledding, snow-shoeing and ride a scenic sky chair up to the top for sensational views, without having to ski down. Tickets are sold first-come, first-served at the ticket windows and guests can’t purchase tickets in advance.

College Night is every Friday night starting at 5 p.m. Girlfriends can drive up together, show their college ID and ski for just $30. Meet students from all over Southern California and party while a DJ spins music in the snow.

Warm up with friends over a hot beverage, glass of wine or cocktail while warming up next to the fireplace at Bullwheel Grill. It’s open until 7 p.m., and Foggy Goggle stays open until 9 p.m.

Mountain High is less than a two hour drive from Los Angeles and Orange County. It’s an ideal staycation for Southern California residents.
