How to Plan a Luxury Date For Any Occasion
Whether your special time with your special someone is going to be an anniversary date or a Valentine’s celebration with your significant other, there’s no doubt that the sweetheart in your life deserves the VIP treatment. Here are a few tips on how you can plan a luxury date for your significant other.
Always Have a Reservation
One of the most important things about planning a memorable date is to make sure that you should always book your table, ticket, or bottle service in advance. Preferably, you should do it a few weeks in advance because the finer establishments tend to get fully booked a week in advance, if not more. And you definitely want to book a table at a finer establishment if you’re trying to deliver a luxury experience for your lucky guest.
Likewise, you should always have event tickets paid for. If you’re taking your date to a show, then you should buy tickets in advance from a reputable source. Don’t count on buying tickets at the door because tickets could sell out, and it always looks better to have pre-paid or to have your name in a guest book.
Send a Gift Before the Big Date
Your date is probably going to be in the evening. Why not warm up your date a few hours prior by having flowers delivered to that person? This is an idea best saved for your significant other and might be a little too much for a first date, unless you’ve been talking to the person for a while. With a first date, you can always buy roses when you’re out on the town.
Be sure to find the best flower delivery service in your area that’s able to get your bouquet delivered on time, and—as mentioned earlier—book your delivery in advance because flower delivery companies tend to get very busy on February 14.
Would you like to make a delivery for him? There are some guys who are totally okay with receiving flowers. Other guys may prefer a different sort of deliverable, like chocolates or other kinds of sweets.
Transportation Matters
Arguably the most difficult part about planning a luxury date is making sure you have luxury transportation to pick up your guest. You can skip this step if you already own a luxury vehicle. But if you don’t, you could rent a luxury vehicle for the evening. The only downside to renting a luxury vehicle (besides the price) is that you may have a more difficult time talking or cuddling with your date en route to dinner or wherever else you’re going. You’ll also have to explain that you rented the vehicle (don’t pretend that you own it), but that may also make you look like you’re trying too hard or being fake.
Another option is to use a rideshare service. Both Uber and Lyft offer a luxury rideshare option that ensures you’re only getting picked up by a vehicle that’s considered a luxury car. The upside to this is that it’s far cheaper than renting a vehicle and you’ll also have an easier time flirting with your date in the backseat.
Have Your Wardrobe Ready
You should dress appropriately for wherever you’re going on your date. If you’re going to a fancy restaurant, for example, you should definitely make sure you’ve got an outfit ready to go. Men should have a dress shirt and slacks ironed out (a suit and tie may or may not be necessary), while women should have a nice dress. Be sure to read our wardrobe must-haves, if you’re not so confident about your fashion sense.
If you’re going to do a casual activity, you may not need to dress in formal attire. However, you can still wear some luxury fashion accessories to give yourself a more refined appearance.
Be Sure to Have a Luxury Nightcap
A date’s got to end somewhere. Sometimes, it ends at an Uber ride, and sometimes it doesn’t end until the next morning. If you’re hoping for the latter, you should make sure you have an expensive drink at home in case your date decides to join you for a nightcap. Consider getting a fancy dessert wine or even a nice bottle of brandy. It might also be fun to have smart home technology at home so you can tell Alexa to “dim the lights and play a romantic playlist.”
You don’t have to be rich to give your significant other a luxury date—just follow these five tips.
