Twisted Alchemy Elevates Your Cocktails at Home
The female-led company Twisted Alchemy makes fresh cold-pressed fruit juices for craft cocktails. Based in Chicago, the company’s mantra is to service the hospitality industry with a zero-labor solution that provides 100% all-natural, cold-pressed, pure juices without the time and expense of squeezing fruit onsite. Founded by F&B industry veterans Kim and Scott Holstein, Twisted Alchemy hand-squeezes limes, grapefruit, oranges, passion fruit, pineapples, and watermelons. They are the only purveyor of hand-squeezed Persian lime juice.
During the month of October, they are donating 15% of profits from their Pink Posse Cocktail Kit for breast cancer research. The donated sales will go to Speed Rack, an all-womxn, high-speed bartending competition designed to highlight up-and-coming talent in the cocktail industry and give back to those impacted by breast cancer. The contest is open to all who identify as womxn/femmes. Womxn is an alternative spelling to avoid the suggestion of sexism perceived in the sequences m-a-n and m-e-n, and to include nonbinary and trans women.
Twisted Alchemy juice cocktail
Speed Rack was founded by mixology MasterClass instructor Lynnette Marrero and James Beard-nominated bar owner Ivy Mix. Since 2011, Speed Rack has raised over $1.25 million for breast cancer research, and Twisted Alchemy has been a longtime sponsor of the organization. During the various rounds of the high-speed bartending competition, contestants use Twisted Alchemy cold-pressed juices. Here is a video of the competition:
The Pink Posse cocktail is a refreshing bright pink cocktail made with Twisted Achemy’s cold-pressed grapefruit and blood orange juices. It was created by mixologist and photographer Risa James. Although the original recipe is written with vodka, it can also be made with blanco tequila or a light and herbaceous gin, or even a joven mezcal.

Since October Sober is here, the Pink Posse and Sealed with a Twist can also be enjoyed sans alcohol. The Blood Orange juice creates a beautiful reddish-pink color to any cocktail.
When ordering the Pink Posse Kit, it contains:
- (1) 25.4oz Bottle- 100% Fresh cold-pressed Blood Orange Juice
- (1) 25.4oz Bottle- 100% Fresh cold-pressed Grapefruit Juice
- (1) Pack Dried Citrus Wheel Garnish
- (1) Pack Gourmet Rimmer Garnish
Pink Posse Kit
Pink Posse Cocktail:
2 oz. vodka
1 oz. Twisted Alchemy Grapefruit Juice
1 oz. Twisted Alchemy Blood Orange juice
3 oz. sparkling soda
Fresh sage leaves
Dash of Liquid Smoke
Muddle sage, then shake all ingredients but the soda with ice for 12 seconds. Strain into tall glass over fresh ice. Top with soda and garnish with dehydrated citrus wheel and fresh sage.
Sealed with a Twist:
0.5 oz Twisted Alchemy Blood Orange Juice
1 oz Twisted Alchemy Lemon Sour
2 oz Rye Whiskey
2 dashes of Angostura Bitters
Cinnamon
In shaker, add blood orange juice, lemon sour and rye whiskey. Rim glass with gold sugar using a lemon slice. Shake well and pour over ice filled glass. Add dashes of bitters, top with sprinkle of cinnamon. Garnish with dried citrus wheel and lemon infused gold sugar.
