Villa Royale Palm Springs Wedding Destination

Villa Royale Palm Springs Wedding Destination

For an Old Hollywood vibe, the iconic 1940s Villa Royale has been refurbished and refreshed into an ideal getaway and wedding destination. Sitting on three and half acres, the modern design offers some Spanish and post-war influences in the Mission Revival style bungalows. Eye catching geometric designed black and white tiles, brick and saltillo pavers are featured in cozy alcoves and courtyards. There is a pop of magenta color from flowering bougainvillea vines and towering Palm trees throughout.

Beautiful wedding spot

What makes this property so enticing for a party is its 33,000 square feet sprawling grass lawn. Set up chairs in one of the courtyards or out on the grass at sunset. Then enjoy dining and dancing under the stars.

Wedding parties are encouraged to buy out the Villa Royale’s 37 villa rooms in the main complex and if needed the 7 California ranch style villas across the street. This allows an exclusive adult only, pet friendly environment for family and friends to stay nearby and enjoy the amenities together. There are bicycles to take out for a spin at your own speed and three sparkling swimming pools.

Art everywhere you look

Throughout the property hidden from the street, artwork is displayed paying homage to some of Hollywood’s best known celebrities who stayed at the Villa Royale and Palm Springs. There is a mural of Elizabeth Taylor at the entrance, and a portrait of JFK in an alcove. Guests staying in room number 4 have a large and whimsical piece of Ricky and Lucy hanging on the wall.

Chef Hector’s gazpacho

Known as one of the desert’s favorite chefs, Hector Salvatierra and his team at Del Rey restaurant prepare delicious gazpacho, Spanish tapas, salads, and vegan burgers throughout the day.

Alcoves and courtyards

Inspired by the cocktail parties that the original owner Evelyn Pell hosted in the 1940’s at Villa Royale, guests are offered a welcome drink upon check-in or coupon to be used during their stay. Throughout the day guests sip beverages from the pool bar, and then mosey over to Del Rey’s twelve-seat oak and marble bar that evokes a Spanish-inspired speakeasy feel to sip Spanish wine or Gin & Tonic.

3 pools at Villa Royale

In the morning a complimentary breakfast is served on an outdoor lanai with a comfortable lounge area to sip coffee and enjoy light fare. It’s an ideal spot to gather and say goodbye before starting your new adventure as a married couple.
