CAMERON DIAZ’ ORGANIC WINE BRAND AVALINE LAUNCHES SAUVIGNON BLANC ALONGSIDE GOOP KITCHEN’S NEW CAMERON DIAZ’ SUMMER SALAD

CAMERON DIAZ’ ORGANIC WINE BRAND AVALINE LAUNCHES SAUVIGNON BLANC ALONGSIDE GOOP KITCHEN’S NEW CAMERON DIAZ’ SUMMER SALAD

“The varietal has become kind of like the Millennial’s Chardonnay and it deserved a place in the Avaline portfolio,” says Jessica Blumenthal, VP of Brand & Innovation. “Sauvignon Blanc is the only non-sparkling varietal that’s growing in the US and a lot of that can be attributed to the next generation of wine consumers making it their go-to.”

“Ladies who lunch” just got a whole lot cooler.  Avaline, the transparent wine brand from Cameron Diaz and Katherine Power, have partnered with Goop Kitchen to debut a salad dreamed up by Cam herself. If you’re not in the Los Angeles area to pick up this yummy creation for yourself, we’ve got you covered with the recipe below. And best of all, it pairs perfectly with Avaline’s new, organic and vegan-friendly Sauvignon Blanc. Time for a taste of LA without the jet lag.

“When I’m dreaming about my ideal summer afternoon, say a Saturday in late July, it includes a fresh summer salad, a crisp glass of Sauvignon Blanc and a table full of friends,” says Cameron.

Avaline, an organic and transparent wine brand co-founded by Cameron Daiz and Katherine Power introduces their newest varietal wine, Sauvignon Blanc. This sip comes just in time for the first days of summer, launching today nationwide on drinkavaline.com

Since Avaline’s launch in 2020, the brand has sold over 1.5 Million bottles of its organic, transparently labeled wines, placing it firmly in the top 200 best selling wine brands in US Retail, and the #1 fastest growing in the set, up 78.7% versus last 52 weeks. Over 600,000 of those bottles sold have been Avaline’s best-selling White Blend. Based on their consumers’ and founders’ love of Sauvignon Blanc, the brand has introduced a new white varietal into its limited range.

Founder Cameron Diaz expands on the new item, “I am in love with our Sauv Blanc because it’s really light and floral. Some of the wines on the market have a sharpness or slightly green character so we wanted to make ours with a focus on being delicate, balanced, easy-to-drink, and a really pure expression of the grape.”

Guided by the founders’ palates, as well as feedback from their community, Avaline set out to create their version of perfect Sauvignon Blanc. Avaline’s winemaker Ashley Herzberg led the development of the blend. “We heard from our community that they love a crisp, citrusy wine. After tasting through dozens of potential blends from all over France, we ended up with a blend from the Bordeaux region, which is known for their beautiful and balanced Sauvignon Blanc based white wines. This blend had the perfect mix of floral notes, ripe citrus and balanced acidity that we were looking for. This wine will be the ideal pairing with grilled white fish or a spring pasta with fresh peas and asparagus.”

Like all Avaline wines, Sauvignon Blanc is made to the Avaline standard: 100% organic grapes, zero grams of sugar per glass, and no unwanted additives like concentrates, colors and sugars. Nutrition facts and ingredients are on the back of every bottle, answering consumers’ demands for more transparency in their wine. Avaline partnered once again with EthicDrinks, one of the most sustainable producers in French wine, to create this blend. Building even further on the brands sustainability promise, this latest release leaves the cork exposed with no capsule, forgoing unnecessary waste.

Co-founder Cameron Diaz, who has recently gone viral for her cooking videos, brings additional dimension to this launch with a new recipe.  “When I’m dreaming about my ideal summer afternoon, say a Saturday in late July, it includes a fresh summer salad, a crisp glass of Sauvignon Blanc and a table full of friends,” says co-founder Cameron Diaz.

To celebrate Sauvignon Blanc, Avaline and Diaz partnered with goop Kitchen to make Cameron’s most delicious summer salad something everyone can enjoy. Those in Los Angeles can now order the salad via goop Kitchen via the goop Kitchen app or website, Doordash, Caviar, and Postmates. For those outside of So Cal, the recipe is published on drinkavaline.com, making everything you need for Cameron’s Perfect Summer Afternoon just a click or tap away.

Make Cameron’s Summer Crunch Salad:

  1. We like to layer this salad in a bowl. Start with your salad greens on the bottom, and then layer  in all of the vegetables, mango and avocado.

  2. Garnish with the herbs on top.

  3. When you’re ready to serve, toss the dressing with the salad and top with the cashews and puffed rice. Serve with a wedge of lime on the side.

Cameron’s Favorite Vinaigrette:

  1. Place everything into a blender except the sunflower and toasted sesame oils.

  2. Blend on high until fully blended and smooth. With the blender still running, slowly stream in the oil to emulsify the dressing.

  3. Set aside until ready to use. You can make the dressing in advance and refrigerate for up to 5 days.
