Cauliflower Crust Pizza to Sardines: Snacks and Sips You Don’t Want to Miss

It’s fantastic to live in a world with so many snack and drink options. Whether you’re seeking gluten-free eats or something with a bit of protein, there’s something out there for your preferences or dietary requirements. Not only that, but you can find products at different shops and online, making it a convenient way to get what you want. Here are some fun snacks, food, and drinks you might like.

Frooze Balls

Made in New Zealand with 100% natural ingredients, these plant-based balls of goodness come in a range of flavors like apple, orange, and strawberry. Frooze Balls also has a doubled-filled option like peanut butter and jelly. I especially love the Triple Choc Fudge, ideal for chocolate lovers. These are a quick snack to keep in your bag, backpack, or car when you need a little something to eat. Find them on the Frooze Balls website or at your local Trader Joe’s, Albertsons, Vons, and other retailers where you can buy them individually or in larger packs.

Clio Snacks

If you could have a cheesecake dipped in chocolate, would you? That’s the flavor profile of the whole milk Greek yogurt-based bars by Clio Snacks. Flavors include vanilla, chocolate, real fruit strawberry, or blueberry. It’s a bonus that each bar has 8 grams of protein to make it a dessert with a nutritional boost. I placed mine in the freezer for a cheesecake dessert bar but they are amazing right out of the fridge, too. You can find certain products at Target, Walmart, Whole Foods, Sprouts Farmers Market, and other retailers.

Oskar Blues Brewery

Available year-round, Dale’s Pale Ale by Oskar Blues Brewery has strong and piney hops with a bitter maltiness. At 6.5% alcohol by volume, it has a higher ABV content than other pale ales on the market, which usually tests somewhere around the 5% mark. The American pale ale has an invigorating carbonation, that’s best sipped icy cold straight out of the refrigerator or cooler. For something lighter, opt for Dale’s Light Lager coming in at 4.2% ABV. It’s the newest addition to the Dale’s line. Oskar Blues Brewery has taprooms in Brevard, NC and Longmont, CO.

Milton’s Craft Bakers

Milton’s creates gluten-free crackers and pizzas that have a delightful texture. I’m partial to the gluten-free crackers that have a hexagon shape and a fantastic crunch. Dip them in hummus, guacamole, or your favorite dip. I enjoyed the salt and vinegar flavor. Milton’s Craft Bakers also has cauliflower crust pizzas that come in flavors like grilled chicken and bacon, meat trio, four cheese, and more. Sometimes cauliflower crust can char easily but this isn’t the case here. They’re crisp but not overly so.

Season Brand

Tinned fish made the rounds a couple of years back, drawing attention to the convenient protein source. Season Brand has been ahead of the curve as they’ve sold seafood for over 100 years. You can find Season Brand sardines, mackerel, anchovies, and more in a convenient little tin. skinless and boneless sardines are certified wild-caught and sustainable. They come in options like olive oil, water, in water no salt added, and more. I bought a couple of tins on a road trip with my family and it was easy to open and eat during the picnic. I added a little mayonnaise and mustard and ate them with crackers.

Mix up the way you enjoy snack time. For more snacks and drink ideas, take a look at my other round-ups.
