Clonakilty Witches Brew Cocktail [COCKTAIL TIME]

Ireland, often hailed as the land of myths and legends, holds a captivating secret – Halloween, or “Samhain” as it was known in ancient Celtic tradition, was born there. Samhain marked the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the darker half of the year, a day the portal between the real world and the “other world” became blurred. This meant the Aos Sí (spirits), banshees and púkas (ghosts) could slip into our world and cause mischief. It was believed that the Celts would wear masks and costumes to disguise themselves from other evil spirits that may be roaming around.

To honor this rich heritage, I am pleased to offer a cocktail, courtesy of Clonakilty Distillery, that incorporates their finest spirit with the essence of Samhain.
