Emerson Resort & Spa in NY’s Catskills Feeds the Frontlines, Donates to Project Resilience & More During COVID-19

While the Emerson Resort & Spa in the Catskills is temporarily closed due to precautions and recommendations from the CDC and local/state health officials for social distancing and to help flatten the COVID-19 curve, the luxury boutique property is now extending their recently launched “Get a Gift Card, Give a Gift Card” offering.

For every $100 spent on a gift card purchase, the Emerson will donate a $10 gift card to Family of Woodstock, Inc., a local not-for-profit whose mission is to provide confidential and fully accessible crisis intervention, information, prevention and support services to address the needs of individuals and families.

The Emerson gift cards can be used now (for locals) for their takeout menu from their signature restaurant, Woodnotes Grille, which serves Catskill-themed menu items with ingredients sourced from the Hudson Valley. Or when the Emerson reopens in the future, the gift card can be used at the Spa, The Shops at Emerson or for overnight stays.

What’s more, the Emerson is now feeding healthcare and frontline workers with free meals in the Catskills including doctors, nurses, healthcare professionals, first responders, EMT’s, police and firefighters. During the hours of operation (available HERE) from Thursday to Monday for breakfast and dinner, healthcare and frontline workers will be able to take out meals for free at Woodnotes Grille.

The Emerson is also participating in Project Resilience launched by Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan, which is a community fund and local food distribution effort to support residents impacted by COVID-19. Since its inception, Project Resilience has delivered over 10,000 meals.

Lastly, during this period of “pause” in New York, the Emerson created an online trivia game with scavenger hunt questions. If anyone (friends, guests or future guests) answer all questions correctly, the Emerson will mail you a kaleidoscope gift, since they house the Guinness World’s Record Largest Kaleidoscope on-site.
