From Beef Sticks to Barrel-Aged Coffee, Stock Up on These Tasty Finds

There are so many snacks and sips on the market that it’s hard to keep up. We found and tried some new options, from Chomps’ new range of spicy beef sticks to Bachan’s new Hella Hot and Sweet Honey flavored Japanese barbeque sauces, so you can decide what to get for yourself.

Chomps

Spice up the way you eat your protein with hot beef sticks. Chomps has Habanero Beef, Jalapeño Beef, and Taco Seasoned Beef to pick from, all created with grass-fed and finished beef. Find them at Sprouts, Trader Joe’s, and Whole Foods, on their website, and in other locations. These are softer and not as hard to chew as other beef stick varieties can be. Pack these into lunch boxes or take them with you for afternoon errands. These non-GMO beef sticks are lightly spicy and easy to open and eat.

Modballs

When you’re in a rush and need something nutrient-packed, try Modballs. These energy balls come in two flavors: Almond Coconut Chocolate and Peanut Butter Chocolate. The bites are gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free. Each one is 100 calories so you can get some energy with minimal effort; just grab one, open it, and eat. Modballs contain fruits, veggies, nuts, and seeds with cranberries, mango, spinach, broccoli, amaranth, quinoa, and more. They are soft and chewy with a light crunch from the seeds.

Bean & Bean

There’s nothing quite like that morning coffee to give you a pep in your step after a long night soothing a baby or working on that soon-due school project. From Fancy Diner Coffee to Booooozy Barrel-Aged Coffee, Bean & Bean’s plethora of options allows coffee connoisseurs to find something that perfectly suits their taste. This mother-daughter-owned brand sells coffee and tea with the vision of supporting female producers. Booooozy Barrel-Aged Coffee is a collaboration with Matchbook, a women-owned distillery based in New York.

WhistlePig Whiskey

Made with WhistlePig’s PiggyBack Rye and PiggyBack Bourbon, the limited-edition WhistlePig’s Maple Old Fashioned is a robust and unexpected maple syrup. This ‘stache syrup is a collaborative nod to the 2001 film Super Troopers. Try it with waffles and pancakes, or make a dinner out of it by drizzling it over chicken and waffles. While the syrup is currently sold out, try the whimsical Sparkle Edition. It’s the perfect way to celebrate any occasion.

Bachan’s

You might know Bachan’s from their teriyaki-adjacent The Original flavor with soy, mirin, ginger, garlic, and green onion. This Japanese barbeque sauce company has a couple of new flavors to test that recently hit the shelves: Hella Hot, made with fermented red jalapeño and red habanero, and Sweet Honey (organic honey, soy, ginger, and green onion). These go in different directions, spicy and sweet, so you can have flexibility on how you want to pair it. You can find Bachan’s at Albertson’s, Costco, Kroger, Sprouts Farmers Market, Target, Walmart, Whole Foods Market, Amazon, and other locations.

If you prefer sweets, try WhistlePig Whiskey’s maple syrup, Bachan’s Sweet Honey sauce, or Modballs energy balls. For a spicy boost, opt for the new spicy Chomps or Bachan’s Hella Hot sauce. Wash it down with a cup of Bean & Bean coffee.
