Kane Footwear New Athletic Recovery Shoes
Since Kane Footwear is a recovery shoe for athletes, the shoe company has collaborated with some experts in sports and wellness to create the optimal shoe. John Gagliardi, Kane’s founder and CEO, spent over two years to research materials, design and develop the flagship Revive slip-on. He collaborated with Board Certified performance sports podiatrist and foot and ankle surgeon Dr. Dan Geller, to build a shoe with eco-based materials, that provided an active recovery design to promote healing.
Last summer they approached Brian Mazza, founder of HLP Training and lifestyle influencer, to help with their new earth-tone Revive recovery shoes. Mazza wanted his motto Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes on the heel of the shoe. His message reflects his own life story, and serves as a reminder to the wearer to stay committed to their values. Mazza knows that wellness is not something you fall into, instead it’s a choice one makes, when one is ready. He chose to quit drinking six years ago and changed his approach to life. Drinking wasn’t an issue for him, he just wanted to maintain a high octane lifestyle with nothing holding him back. “I’m constantly beating myself up training, so it’s important for me to take the steps I need to recover,” Mazza said. “Everything starts with your feet, your foundation–when you take care of your foundation you set yourself up for success. I, unfortunately, have dealt with some major injuries over the years, and I have to take recovery a lot more seriously.”
Olympic Hockey Player Hilary Knight
Another Kane Footwear Ambassador is USA Hockey forward Hilary Knight. Knight not only helped Womens USA Hockey win gold in 2018, she helped them win a silver this year in China. Knight is an eight-time World Champion and member of the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association (PWHPA). Recovery is ingrained in her routine before and after her games.
