Growing Segment of Travellers Booking Walking Tours
As leaders in active luxury travel, Butterfield & Robinson covers the globe on two wheels, and biking trips continue to be one of the most immersive and healthiest ways to travel. But the desire to cover more ground (especially with aging travellers) has caused a shift in the trips we offer.
With considerable growth in booked walking trips throughout the last few years, B&R has beefed up its portfolio of scheduled, bespoke and Ready-to-Book walking departures around the world – and it’s paying off! Through January and February 2018, B&R has seen a 44 per cent increase in travellers booking trips from the same period last year, with some key regions showing sustained interest.
- Italian Lakes Walking repeats as the most popular walking trip booked through the first two months of the year
- Peru Walking and Sicily Walking remained in the top five walking trips from last year, reflecting two of B&R’s most well-visited destinations
- The all-new Basque Country Walking is the 5th-most booked published walking departure in 2018
To celebrate the growth and sustained interest in active luxury walking trips, B&R has just launched the following Ready-to-Book walking trips in Europe, Africa and Asia. Travellers can choose from these new private departures, best for small groups of 2 to 8 travellers, totally hand-crafted by our trip designers:
