Every homeowner wants their home to be just perfect, from having that homely feel to your decor being fresh and new, but to do so can be very expensive. But not to worry as there are inexpensive and easy ways to spice up your home’s decor, from adding some personality to your kitchen to a pop of colour in your bedroom, there are many ways to keep costs down while still being happy with the result.

If money is an issue that has stopped you from updating your home, then that no longer needs to be a problem as many renovations simply require a small amount of cash, your time and imagination.

Give Your Kitchen Some TLC

Refurbishing and updating the kitchen can sound like an overwhelming and expensive task as materials and fixtures can be pricey, but you don’t have to spend a fortune to give your kitchen some TLC. Adding a splashback to your kitchen can be a great way to update it’s the look and depending on the material they can be extremely affordable.

Acrylic kitchen splashbacks can come in many different colours to add some personality to the room as well as being extremely functional by protecting your wall from any stains whilst you cook and simply wipe it down if it becomes dirty. This is a great alternative to glass or traditional tile as it keeps your costs down as well as being quicker and easier to sit, even if you are not looking to add colour to your kitchen there are clear, black and white alternatives for a more minimalist appearance.

Add Some Greenery

Incorporating plants into your decor can update and improve any space in your home. Adding a few potted plants and greenery can brighten up any space. Whether it be real or fake, (depending on how green your thumb is) placed on a window sill, free-standing or hanging from the walls, potted plants add to the appearance of any room in your home.

Show Your Stairs Some Love

For many homes when visitors come in the stairs to the first thing you say so why not show them some love. Incorporating a stylish runner to a staircase can help make your home feel cosy, while also allowing you to add colours and patterns to a generic or neutral hallway. Runners do not have to be expensive as it is not a full carpet fitting and so you can choose from so many different designs to give your home the perfect look.

If you are lucky enough to have a fireplace in your home it can be a great feature in any room, acting as a wonderful focal point.
