“In this small and intimate 147-room hotel, you would not expect to find a 25,000 square foot spa featuring nearly 100 services and 22 treatment rooms. Picking the services I wanted to experience from such a varied menu was daunting. “I’ve always been intrigued by the circus. And being that Sarasota is the winter home of the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus, I promised myself I wouldn’t leave until getting stepped on by an artist. Let me clarify. It’s a good kind of being walked on. Soft, plump feet applying just the right amount of pressure into your back, as the artist (or in this case the massage therapist,) hangs from silk drapes and performs magic. “Upon arriving at the peaceful, solitude of The Ritz-Carlton Spa, I enjoyed its relaxing atmosphere. The spa offered two steam rooms and two saunas, separated by a men and women’s section.
