Wellness Month at the Elegant Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Resort

Wellness Month at the Elegant Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Resort

Many people resolve every new year to look and eat healthier. During the summer, it’s a good time to evaluate yourself to see if you are on track, or if you have slipped a little and need to recharge.

In 2018 I was invited to learn how to look my best during the summer at the luxury Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Resort. As I took an elevator up to the Secret Rose Garden for a special Wellness Month preview. Lisa Michaelis, CEO & Founder – Live Love Spa and founder of Wellness Month guests and said, “For the entire month of August it’s about self care and putting yourself first.”

There were 12 different representatives offering products to help us look our best.
Here are five of my favorite products:
The brightly colored Laki Naturals display lured me over to meet entrepreneur and designer Tiffany Lerman. She told me Laki means “lucky” in Hawaiian. Her all natural Hawaiian based bath and body skin care capture the essence of Aloha. They are made without parabens, artificial additives, micro-beads, sodium lauryl sulfate, phthalates, synthetic dyes, gmo, petrochemicals, animal testing. Shower fizzies are a huge seller offering a soothing and therapeutic spa-like experience. They are activated by the stream and water droplets in your shower to create a calming cloud of essential oil aromas that rejuvenate your mind and body. There are 6 different scents: Rainbow Eucalyptus, Sea Breeze Grapefruit, Hawaiian Lavender, Lemongrass Luau, Orange Hibiscus and Peppermint Falls.

Next I met Kristin Wilson representing Freedom Natural Deodorant. She shared with me about how Freedom was created in the kitchen of Founder and CEO, Ira Green, Freedom was originally made for Ira’s three close friends who were diagnosed with breast cancer. Repeatedly their doctors stressed the importance of using natural products on the body, and stay away from antiperspirant with aluminum. Since nothing in the markets smelled nice, Ira made her own deodorant that is cruelty free, free from aluminum and free from dyes and Phthalates, thus the name Freedom. They are all human-tested to ensure effectiveness, and so natural that they are safe enough to eat.  I received a stick of Bergamot Mint, a subtle blend of sandalwood, coriander, peppermint and citrus. While applying to dry skin, I discovered that this is the first luxury natural deodorant really works. It kept met dry and smelling neutral with an essence of mint all day long. She also  makes a masculine and sexy Amber scent for men, however women love it too.  Over 200 health and wellness spas throughout the country carry Freedom including the Four Seasons, Miraval, Canyon Ranch, The Ritz-Carlton, and Mandarin Oriental. Just apply to dry skin. Other products they sell include Freedom organic lip balms in a mint lip tingle essence.

Jackson Schlekewey from Lucky Owl affirmation rings. Each Sterling Silver and Hypoallergenic ring has an affirmation. There are five different rings with the words: Hustle, Believe, Love, Strength, and Truth engraved. I chose “Believe” as a way to show my spirit and reflect on who I am. Rachel and Morgan from Kerstin Florian a Swedish-based luxury spa skin care brand offered to apply their unique Eye Rescue pads under my eyes. This product is used by many celebrities before an awards show to take years off their face. After 15 minutes the pads were gently removed and Morgan applied a marine-based caviar skincare under my eyes. Their Essentials Skin & Body Care products can be found at The Montage, Langham and Fairmont Hotels.

Step up your health and beauty for the rest of the year with these products I discovered during Wellness Month in Beverly Hills.
