Mandarin Oriental, Boston: Holiday Presidential Suite

Five-Star Mandarin Oriental, Boston is presenting a luxurious holiday takeover of its iconic Presidential Suite this season, offering Mandarin Oriental guests a Suite with over-the-top holiday accommodations to enjoy for a festive overnight getaway or intimate holiday event.

In collaboration with Modern LuxuryBoston Common, and PBF Homes, Mandarin Oriental, Boston has entirely transformed its Presidential Suite into a luxurious holiday enclave for the festive season. Upon entering the Holiday Suite, guests will be welcomed by an expansive, elegant space with decorative furniture and accents at every corner –with a myriad of blues, metallics and holiday greens, decorated trees with ornaments and bows, festive wreaths, twinkling lights and more, among the backdrop of a striking view of the Back Bay from the hotel’s top floor.

“The Back Bay is the center of the festive season in Boston, and we cannot wait to provide visitors with this exceptional opportunity to extend their celebrations into our Presidential Suite, decked out in an exemplary and luxurious seasonal design from the renowned PBF Homes,” said Markus Lindner, General Manager, Mandarin Oriental, Boston.

The 1,715-square-foot suite is complete with 10 uniquely decorated holiday trees throughout the space in both the open-plan living room, dining area, primary bedroom, primary bathroom and powder room. The living and dining room area features a 12-seat dining table with a fully decorated tablescape, including perfectly placed dinner table settings at each seating, ready for holiday dining. Across the living room, a spacious sofa and statement chairs feature textured and patterned throw pillows and fur blanket accents to provide a cozy and inviting social space to mix and mingle, with illuminated holiday trees and Back Bay views in the background. The decorated primary bedroom is anchored by a majestic four-poster bed with rose gold and metallic accents across the room and adorned on the tree and wreath, while the expansive en-suite master bathroom features a spa soaking jacuzzi bathtub filled with gold and silver ornaments for a festive and whimsical element of decor. Throughout the Suite, unique custom furniture pieces were sourced from Made Goods, including a coffee table, Santa’s chair, stools, desk, nightstands in the primary bedroom, fabric on the entryway console, and three statement mirrors. Neena’s provided the dining area light fixture – an important design element to complement the dining table. Tablescape glassware and dinnerware are by Made Goods, and Visual Comfort lighting is featured in the entryway, with Winston Flowers arrangement throughout the space. All items are also available for purchase from PBF Homes.

PBF Homes is a full-service boutique design studio specializing in interior design, home renovation and luxury staging in Boston. Mandarin Oriental, Boston was pleased to work with Pam Forman, principal of the award-winning interior design studio, known for her impeccable style and creativity and strong portfolio in luxury home design and staging.

“Inspired by a traditional showhouse, our team transformed this iconic space blending modern elegance with the festivity of the holiday season to create a luxurious escape for the senses,” said Forman. “Our goal was a visual experience from the moment guests arrive.”

“We felt it was important to marry the existing design elements, like the whimsical chinoiserie bedroom wallpaper, with our firm’s interior design style and personal aesthetic. For a calming yet festive feel we landed on a color story of blue hues and contrasted it with warm metallics,” said Rae McCalmont, Director of Home Staging at PBF Homes. “Bows in all fabrications, from velvet to silk chiffon, are a strong trend for holiday this year – which aligns perfectly with our design ethos, contemporary with timeless elegance.”
