Pumpkin-Inspired Cocktails [COCKTAIL TIME]

Starbucks recently announced the kick-off of Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) season. We’ve pulled together a selection of pumpkin-infused cocktails to toast to the iconic fall drink’s 20th anniversary. Enjoy!

Drunken Pumpkin Espresso Martini

  • 1 ¼ oz. Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey
  • ¾ oz. coffee liqueur
  • ½ oz. pumpkin syrup
  • 2 oz. espresso
  • Dash of pumpkin spice

Directions:

  • Combine 1 ¼ oz. Skrewball, ¾ oz. coffee liqueur, ½ oz. pumpkin syrup, 2 oz. espresso & a dash of pumpkin spice into a shaker with ice.
  • Shake vigorously.
  • Strain into coupe glass.
  • Sprinkle with pumpkin spice & drizzle with chocolate.
  • Enjoy!

Crystal Head Vodka’s Pumpkin Patch
 

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ oz. | 45ml Crystal Head Vodka 
  • ¾ oz. | 22 ½ ml Coffee Liqueur  
  • 1 tsp. | 5ml Honey 
  • 1 tsp. | 5ml Pumpkin Pie Spice* 
  • ¾ oz. | 22 ½ ml Heavy Cream (optional: substitute with any non-dairy alternative) 
  • 2-3 Ginger Snap Cookies 
*Pumpkin Pie Spice: combine equal parts ground cinnamon, ground ginger, ground nutmeg, ground all spice and ground cloves. 

Directions:

  • Crumble the ginger snap cookies and place the crumbs on a plate.
  • Rub the rim of a rocks glass with honey.
  • Dip your glass in cookie crumbs to coat the rim.
  • In a shaker, combine Crystal Head Vodka, coffee liqueur and pumpkin pie spice.
  • Shake with ice, Place ice in a rocks glass and pour contents of shaker over ice and top with heavy cream, or a non-dairy alternative of your choice.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ oz. Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey
  • ¾ oz. Zaya Gran Reserva Rum
  • ½ oz. orange juice
  • ½ oz. pineapple juice
  • ½ oz. pumpkin cream of coconut mix*
  • 3 pineapple top leaves
  • Pumpkin spice

Directions:

  • For the pumpkin cream of coconut, blend all ingredients to taste.
  • To make the cocktail, shake all ingredients together in a shaker with ice and pour into cocktail glass.
  • Garnish with three pineapple leaves and powdered pumpkin spice.

Pumpkin Cream of Coconut Mix Ingredients:

  • 15 oz. can pumpkin puree
  • 15 oz. can cream of coconut
  • 2 dashes vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ¾ tsp. nutmeg
  • 3 tbsp. sugar

Crystal Head Vodka’s Pumpkin Brew
 

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz.| 60 mL Crystal Head Vodka  
  • 1/2 oz.| 15mL Fresh Lemon 
  • 1 oz.| 30mL Pumpkin Shrub* 
  • Rosemary 
  • 1-2 oz.| 30-60 mL Ginger Beer 

Directions:

  • Add Crystal Head Vodka, lemon, pumpkin shrub, and rosemary to a cocktail shaker.
  • Muddle the rosemary and shake over ice for 10-15 seconds—Double strain into a Collins glass over fresh ice.
  • Top with ginger beer and garnish with freshly grated cinnamon, rosemary, and a lemon wheel.
  • *Pumpkin Shrub: In a pot, combine 1 cup of pumpkin puree, 1 cup of apple cider vinegar, 1 cup of sugar, a zested orange, and 1 grated cinnamon. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and let simmer for 15-20 minutes. Using a cheesecloth, strain the contents and separate the puree from the liquid. Then, strain the liquid through a coffee filter. Place in a container and store in the fridge for up to 6 weeks.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey
  • ½ oz. pumpkin spice syrup
  • 1 sugar cube
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 4 oz. hot water
  • Star anise
  • Cinnamon sugar

Directions:

  • Add sugar, butter and hot water to mug and stir until dissolved.
  • Add Skrewball, pumpkin spice syrup, star anise and stir.
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
