UniWorld News: Cruise Line Adds New Course

New Course on Uniworld University Gives Travel Advisors Insight on 2022’s Latest Offerings

Uniworld Boutique River Cruises has added a new 2022 course to Uniworld University, the brand’s online travel advisor education program. The course, titled New for 2022, will give advisors a sense of what their clients can expect onboard Uniworld cruises this year. After completing the course, advisors will receive a special discounted rate of up to 60% off 2022 cruises.

Travel Advisors can expect to gain in-depth knowledge of Uniworld’s expanded list of Cruise & Rail itineraries including a new rail-only trip along the world’s greatest railway, The Trans-Siberian ExpressMilan, Venice & Istanbul; and Castles of Transylvania & The Enchanting Danube. They will also get to know Uniworld’s newest itinerary, Dutch Delight, rich in Dutch history and culture. Additionally, advisors will learn about Uniworld’s 2022 unique on-shore excursions including the ‘Nights Out’ experiences, the social impact-driven ‘Make Travel Matter’ experiences, and a visit to the famous Floriade Exposition on select itineraries.

“With another exciting year ahead for Uniworld, working together with our travel advisor partners remains a top priority” says Ellen Bettridge, CEO and President of Uniworld Boutique River Cruises. “We have designed our courses to be engaging and dynamic, providing our advisors all the necessary information needed to confidently sell to their clients. We are very grateful for these partnerships and look forward to another year of spectacular Uniworld trips with their clients onboard.”

Travel advisors can register for the new course at UniworldUniversity.com and gain access to the full TTC Agency Academy platform, which includes a host of trainings and e-learning tools for Trafalgar, Contiki, Insight Vacations and Uniworld Boutique River Cruises. The platform is hosted on Litmos and can be found on the SAP Litmos mobile app.  Once downloaded, enter thetravelcorporation.litmos.com to begin. Travel Advisors can also earn continued education credits with Uniworld University through CLIA and The Travel Institute.

Uniworld Boutique River Cruises has also announced its new Category+ program, which allows guests to bid on potential stateroom upgrades ahead of their departure. Powered by Plusgrade, Uniworld guests will be invited to browse staterooms and suites still available on their cruise in a higher category than they originally booked, and then place an offer. Bids may be placed on multiple available staterooms to increase upgrade chances, but guests will only pay for their upgrade if it is accepted.

“At Uniworld, we’re always looking for new ways to elevate our guests’ river cruise experience,” said Ellen Bettridge, President and CEO of Uniworld Boutique River Cruises. “We’re thrilled to be the first river cruise line to work with Plusgrade in providing an upgrade program of this nature. Our new Category+ stateroom program will give our guests an opportunity to add even more luxury to their vacation at a price point of their choosing, risk-free.”

Once an offer is either accepted or declined, the guest will be notified via email and immediately charged the amount of their offered bid. If the guest originally booked their cruise with a travel advisor, that advisor will also receive commission on that additional amount. Bids may be cancelled or modified up to 5 days prior to departure provided that an acceptance has not already been made, and Uniworld will notify guests of acceptance no less than 3 days prior to departure. Regardless, every guest will still enjoy the same high-quality service and all-inclusive luxurious amenities that come standard on every Uniworld river cruise.
