Vaping as Part of Today’s Society
Modern society differs from the one our parents have grown up in. The point is that people now perceive reality differently. Vaping as a part of new normality fits our reality. It was not so far ago – about fifteen years when vaping was seen as something really strange and weird. However, since the first appearance on the market, vaping devices have made a great step forward.
The first stage of vaping in our society was its role as a cure from smoking, which has turned out to be a lemon. The next stage was being a habit popular among people of different ages, gender, and other social parameters. However, now we can observe vaping turning into a subculture. There are even special areas for vapers in cafes and other public places.
It is true that people who vape are called vapers and there also exist special communities both in online and offline life. People gather and exchange their experiences. They like spending time together and vaping is what unites them. In fact, the other spheres of their life can have zero common points. Even strict legislation on the question is not a barrier.
The year 2020 is full of surprises, not always pleasant. Many people, for example, find the opportunity to order the vaping stuff in the vape shop online (see more). The quarantine mode has influenced vaping rather positively. People have understood that it is both more convenient and cheaper for them to buy an e-liquid in the online vape shop than to use a new cigarette each time.
However, if we move out of the present situation and look at vaping’s development within the last couple of years, we can trace that the attitude towards vaping of various people differs. Firstly, people of different age groups look at vaping differently.
Talking about children they either show no interest in vaping because they have some more interesting toys for their age or simply ask their parents or older siblings about the activity. In fact, the further children’s attitude towards the devices depends on the way their parents understand the hazards and can effectively explain the possible outcomes of the activity.
Being a teen, a human being tends to discover the world by means of personal experience. They might try to use the device which belongs to their parents or other older relatives. The other option is the interest in vaping because of seeing it online — for instance, seeing a vape mode in an advertisement of the “best online vape store”. It is also possible that teens find out the existence of vape pens thanks to their peers at school.
In fact, teen vaping is a great problem in the United States in particular, and around the globe in general. Teens are an easy target for marketing managers. They like being different, they like trying something new, they like doing something against the law. All these factors make vaping among those under age bloom. For teens, it is forbidden to buy cigarettes, but it is easy for them to buy, say, vape juice online. Teenagers are not completely formed both physically and mentally, which makes them prone to various types of addiction.
To begin with, teens’ brains cannot work as the brain of the 25-year-old works. The neuron connections can be broken easier. In addition, teens are not stable with hormones, which causes mood swings and, as a result, wishes swings. They easily do things that are obviously dangerous just to seem to be cool or rebellious. Vaping is one of the things that belong to this list of ‘rebellious’ stuff. Nowadays the government informs both students and parents about the harms that the habit has.
Unfortunately, not all of them believe that vaping can cause tremendous grief consequences in their lives. Contemporary research proves that vaping is a dangerous activity, though its role in society is only growing.
3 TOP DANGERS OF VAPING:
Respiratory system. The majority of the vaping devices, which are easy to be bought in any online vape shop, today work with high wattage and voltage because these parameters make the device more powerful and, thus, more attractive for the customer. In fact, being able to heat the substance to hot temperatures also means that the device can easily burn the higher organs of the respiratory tract. In addition, small particles of heavy metals or toxins from the e-liquid or other substances that you use can easily get directly into your lungs. These particles are usually not only irritating for the respiratory system but also can be toxic. Some of the e-liquid ingredients transform into carcinogens after being heated.
Reproductive system. Predominantly capers use e-liquid with nicotine. Nicotine itself is a toxic substance that cannot be used safely. Even those who believe that vaping can be used as a safer alternative to smoking, they still have no idea what to say when it goes about nicotine-containing e liquids. Nicotine is dangerous for both men and women. Semen is being slowed down if a man is a smoker. An egg also gets more unwelcome if the woman consumes nicotine. If a person is a vaper or second-hand vaper, the situation is the same. In addition, if a woman consumes nicotine while being pregnant, the risk of a fetus not becoming a baby increases. Nicotine makes it difficult for the fetus to feed and, thus, slows the development. The outcome might include everything from the insufficient weight of the baby to miscarriage and sudden infant death syndrome.
Cardiovascular system. The majority of the recent studies claim that vaping can increase the risk of heart disease and deteriorate the stance of your cardiovascular system in general. In fact, the newest studies show that all the flavors that you can easily buy in any online vape store contain toxins that can damage the cells in vessels. Such damages result in the death of the cells. Firstly, they get inflamed and then die. This brings the distinction of the whole system.
To sum up, vaping has become more than a variety of tobacco consumption. This has become a lifestyle for many young people. Vaping has penetrated into a working, party, and other spheres of human life, which makes scientists worry as they are aware of possible health consequences.
