Getaway in 2021 at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells
Start this new year with sunshine and a change of scenery at the newly renovated Hyatt Regency Indian Wells. From January to March, the weather temperature is usually between 77°F to 83°F during the day, and a low around 51°F to 56°F.
Since the Greater Palm Springs receives up to 5″ of precipitation during about 14.4 days of rain, visitors are driving to the desert for safe outdoor activities playing rounds of golf and tennis, relaxing by swimming pools and enjoying a change of pace.
The Hyatt Regency Indian Wells is nestled on 45 acres of lush towering palms offering panoramic views of golf course greens, sparkling swimming pools and snow-capped mountain views.
In August 2020, the recently renovated property opened the largest new waterpark in the Greater Palm Springs area. About $10 million dollars of the $21 million dollar renovation project was spent on the waterpark – HyTides Plunge, offering the tallest 30-foot dual waterslides in the desert. The area also features a 450-foot lazy river with floating tubes, and a splash pad.
Also refreshed is the common areas, the new mid-modern indoor dining venues, and all of the Penthouse suites located on the fifth floor.
There are 530 guest rooms and 43 private villas at the resort. One-bedroom to three-bedroom villas range from 1,100 to 1,700 sq. ft. They all have outdoor entrances, and many have a fireplace and furnished private patios with grills. BBQ packages are available for guests to grill and dine in the comfort of their room. Some of the villas are close to the adult pool, and some have their own private hot tubs.
The resort has 26 remodeled Penthouse Suites offering a modern design and spacious living area, dining area, wet bar and powder bath. Guests can retreat to a king size bed and marble bathroom with a separate shower and tub. The large private balcony offers two lounge chairs, plus a table with two chairs for dining outside your suite. Views from the balcony include mountains, a golf course, and swimming pools.
Guest have the ultra-comfortable Hyatt Grand Bed, two 65′ flat-screen TV, individually-controlled heat and air conditioning, blackout curtains, hair dryer, Pharmacopia bath toiletries, two white plush robes, coffeemaker, mini-fridge, and in-room laptop-size safe.
Hyatt Regency guests have golf privileges to the City of Indian Wells golf course that surrounds the resort. Tennis is also available to guests by reservation. The resort is also convenient to hiking trails, bike paths, shopping, and a variety of dining venues.
There are three onsite dining venues: The bright and modern Citrus Marketplace is open for coffee, pastries and breakfast items starting at 6 a.m. Limited lunch, snack, wine, beer and canned cocktails are available until 10 p.m.
Out by the pools there is the Roadrunner Cafe open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., for lunch, snack and early dinner.
The resort is 20 minutes from Palm Springs Airport. The newly scheduled air service includes three new routes from Southwest, Delta and American Airlines.
