The Most Luxe Neighbourhoods in California

The Most Luxe Neighbourhoods in California

California is one of America’s best states and arguably one of the best places in the world, full of luxury, glamour, wealth, and entertainment. It also features fantastic landscapes, many natural wonders, and iconic beaches. But what California is truly known for is its luxury lifestyles and neighbourhoods. And there are plenty. From Hollywood to Santa Barbara, each neighborhood comes with its own flair and panache. Here are some of the most luxurious areas in the Golden State.

Heading to the Hollywood Hills

A list would only be complete with a mention of Hollywood, especially if you want Hollywood apartments for rent. This neighbourhood has hillside mansions, electric city views, and the well-known Hollywood sign. Additionally, Hollywood is known for all things glamour and the alluring nature of the entertainment industry. Other iconic features include the Sunset Strip, Sunset Boulevard, the vibrant nightlife, exclusive restaurants, and invite-only clubs. You are also more than likely to spot several of your favourite celebrities since many have iconic homes in the area. The stunning views, privacy, and proximity to the entertainment industry add to Hollywood’s allure.

Beautiful Beverly Hills

When we think of Beverly Hills, we instantly reminisce about the 90s classic TV show Beverly Hills 90210. Even then, it was an area many would choose, if they could, to live there. Beverly Hills is known for luxury and extravagance. The tree-lined streets have been a backdrop for many adverts, movies, and TV series. But it is those mansions that truly spark a conversation among many. This luxe neighbourhood is also known as the shopping capital of California due to Rodeo Drive, made even more popular due to the Julia Roberts and Richard Gere film Pretty Woman. Beverly Hills attracts the rich and the famous mainly because the area seems to spark the need for you to be glamorous.

Brilliant Bel Air

When they hear Bel Air, many do not necessarily think about grand splendour. They think about The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. The iconic 90s TV show featuring Will Smith received a reboot recently that we just love. It was one of the few TV series that gave us a glimpse into people’s lives in this luxe neighbourhood, albeit fictional. Today, it is more luxe than ever. Located not too far from Beverly Hills, Bel Air is a gem that exudes elegance as well as privacy. It features the best properties on the planet, sprawling mansions on top hillsides, gated communities, and so much more. Some country clubs speak to the area’s wealth and make for a fantastic location if you need to break away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles.

Picturesque Pacific Palisades

Nestled between the Pacific Ocean and Santa Monica Mountains, the Pacific Palisades is unique because it offers a blend of coastal living and natural beauty, making it a real treat. This affluent neighbourhood also boasts several beautiful hiking trails, as well as luxury country clubs like the Riviera Country Club. Another notable attraction is the Getty Villa, which fits into the area’s refined taste. Another drawcard of the Palisades is the relatively tight-knit community, adding to its desirability.

Magical Malibu

Associated with many things, including the revered Malibu Barbie set, Malibu is stretched along the Pacific Coast Highway and is a neighbourhood in which most people want to stay. It is upscale and features stunning beaches and legendary views. Additionally, it is pretty laid-back, which further adds to its appeal. While some might not associate surfing with opulence, Malibu’s friendly nature means you can live a luxurious life while enjoying more relaxed and fun activities. When it comes to the homes and mansions, Malibu takes the cake. The coast features beachfront properties we can only dream about. While at the same affording countless spots to shop up a luxury storm.

Serene Santa Barbara

It is hard to describe the appeal of this exclusive neighbourhood in words alone; you simply have to see it for yourself. Santa Barbara is a true gem that keeps on giving. This picturesque paradise is known for its Mediterranean-style architecture which makes it unique. There is a charming blend of sophistication as well as laid-back lifestyles. Furthermore, the area is home to several celebrities and business tycoons, especially the historic Montecito area. Here you will see sprawling estates, gardens for days, and spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean.

Prominent Palo Alto

Not only is Palo Alto one of the more desirable locations in California, but it is also technology-rich, full of innovation, and packed with wealth. Here you will find the legendary Stanford University and prominent tech companies such as Google and Facebook. This neighbourhood is a tech lover’s dream and a small paradise for those needing technological advancements and luxury.

Conclusion

California’s luxury neighbourhoods extend beyond the glitz and glamour. These areas have a rich history and culture packed with luxury and opulence and are the very definition of refinement.
