Dining Delights In Greater Palm Springs During Restaurant Week
Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week is starting on June 3, for residents and visitors to enjoy 10 days of special multi-course lunch and dinners. Menus are available throughout 9 cities that makes up the desert oasis. From Palm Springs to Indio, restaurants are offering a discounted menu until June 12, 2022.
No passes, tickets or coupons are required for this special event. Make a reservation on the website or call the restaurant directly. Walk-ins are welcome, but there is no guarantee that walk-in guests will be accommodated.
In addition to the Restaurant Week menus, participating restaurants are also offering their regular al la carte menus. Since I recently returned from the desert and enjoyed dining at many of the restaurants, here is my Greater Palm Springs Dining Guide:
PALM SPRINGS
4 Saints is the highest rooftop lounge, bar and restaurant in Palm Springs. It’s located on the seventh floor of The Rowan a Kimpton Hotel. Sit inside at the bar for a festive cocktail or out on a dining terrace for a 270-degree view of the desert. Executive chef Ysaac Ramirez prepares local ingredients into creative Southern and Latin inspired menu items. His cornbread is topped with sweetened pecans, crispy chicken skin, butter and chives. The scallop crudo in yellow Tiger’s Milk, has bright red Fresno chilis, and chopped chives. Entrees include dry-aged steaks, freshly caught seafood and seasonal vegetables infused with bold, smoky flavors.
Another wonderful chef in the desert is Executive Chef Kieran Fleming at Agua Caliente Casino in Palm Springs. Besides preparing award winning dishes at The Steakhouse, he is preparing a Restaurant Week menu at 360 Sports. This Sports Bar will have a special three-course $35 lunch, that includes a choice of tomato bisque or ahi poke, avocado salad for an appetizer. Entrees include a smoked salmon salad, gourmet prime burger or chicken pillard. Finish with strawberries and cream or a coffee creme brûlée.
Mr. Lyon is offering a $59 dinner menu on Wednesday through Sunday. Happy Hour begins at 6 to 7 pm. On June 11 from 2 to 4 pm, learn to mix and shake it up with Mr. Lyons Master Mixologist. The fully interactive class led by Steen Bojsen Moller will share his expertise in making iconic cocktails to sip, learn about and enjoy a good laugh.
