Four Seasons Resort Westlake Village MegZany Art Collection

Just as John Butler once said, “Art changes people, people change the world,” Street Artist MegZany displays one of her art pieces at the entrance of the Four Seasons Resort Westlake Village. This luxury Five-Diamond Hotel launched a collaboration with MegZany and other internationally recognized artists in their second level Art Gallery.

Four Seasons Resort Westlake Village is about 60 minutes from Downtown Los Angeles. Set at the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains between Malibu and Santa Barbara, guests appreciate the relaxed, yet refined California hotel.

Green gardens with waterfalls, a Chef’s Garden for the three dining options and bar lounges, (Coin & Candor, OXYZ Restaurant, Prosperous Penny and STIR), plus three swimming pool areas, lend a couples getaway and family-friendly atmosphere.

Located across for the Hotel’s Spa, MegZany uses artwork to incorporate her core values of equality for all.  The vibrant collection displayed is free for guests to view while staying at the hotel. All the pieces are available for purchase.

After being introduced to legendary street artist WRDSMTH at a gallery show, MegZany began her career as a street artist. Under the guidance of WRDSMTH, all of MegZany’s art is meant to positively incite and inspire art admirers and enthusiasts. “I am elated to showcase my work and curate the Art Gallery at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village — the prestigiousness and value the Hotel holds is reflective of qualities I hold my work to,” explains MegZany. “I am confident our partnership brings more opportunities beyond our wildest imaginations; we have a lot in store for our guests.”

MegZany art includes exterior murals and canvases in galleries around the world, and commercial commissions, which she only takes on if the company expresses positive messages that align with her brand. She is also an NFT Crypto Artist with her sold-out collection with partner Blake Jamieson, The Fugly, which is on OpenSea. She has collaborated with Coach, Dave Navarro, YBN Nahmir, Graffiti writer Risk Rock, Phoebe New York, TOMS, Fox Searchlight, and Netflix to name a few. Since her start in 2016, MegZany has been featured in The Huffington Post, Daily Dot, and Street Art Stories on CMT.

She believes that art and public service campaigns are a vital piece in the rise of people’s wellbeing and neighborhoods alike. As a result, her art can be found in galleries and on building walls around the world including Paris, London, Brussels, Berlin, Chicago, New York, New Orleans, Portland, Seattle, and Las Vegas “Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time” said Thomas Merton.

In the coming months, MegZany will showcase her talent on the open-air parking garage at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village. Set to kick-off in early 2023, the 6 x 9 foot (1.8 x 2.7 metre) mural will reflect thought provoking messages. To follow along with MegZany’s work, follow @FSWestlake on Instagram.

Paint the Change

Another artist who is featured in the gallery is Risk. This artist was knighted by the Medici Family in Italy, and the first artist invited to paint in Michelangelo’s studio in over 400 years. Risk’s neon pieces have sold for record prices at Phillips Auction House in New York. He has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the music industry including Guns and Roses,  Blink 182 and Aerosmith. The group Aersosmith once said, “Risk is to art, what Aerosmith is to Rock and Roll.”

Besides displaying pieces at the Four Seasons Resort Westlake Village, his work is exhibited at major galleries in New York, Miami, Beverly Hills, Toronto and San Francisco.

Risk was the first Graffiti Artist to paint subway trains in New York, and the first to paint on freeway overpasses and billboards in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles based multimedia artist Andre Miripolsky has a keen understanding of pop imagery to showcase LA’s energy and vitality. Born in Paris, Andre was raised in Iran, Thailand, Austria, France, Indonesia and Korea. He was educated at CalArts in LA, and rose to stardom in 1980 creating art and costumes for superstars Elton John and Bette Midler. Soon Quincy Jones, The Rolling Stones and Jay Leno commissioned his work.

MegZany specializes in fine-art and is a curator who began as a street artist widely known for her public service campaigns promoting equality and creativity. Described by CMT as “50% bright-eyed, 50% bad-ass,” MegZany is one of the most dynamic artists working today.
