Parmigiani Fleurier Unveils Helping Heroes Program

During these incredibly challenging and unprecedented times, Swiss watch brand Parmigiani Fleurier is doing their part to help those on the front line of the fight against COVID-19 and those suffering the effects of the economic fallout incurred in its wake. Today it is proud to unveil its “Helping Heroes” program in North America, a unique initiative designed to support the healthcare institutions fighting the virus across the country, as well as the independent retailers who have had to shutter their doors.

Parmigiani wants to enable individuals to do good for their local communities during these difficult times. Unlike a straight-forward purchase of a watch, with the “Helping Heroes” program consumers can work with their nearest authorized Parmigiani Fleurier retailer to make a tax-free donation to a pre-approved local hospital or nonprofit organization of their choice. Parmigiani will apply the donation amount as a credit to be used toward the purchase of a watch. If customers donate the full retail price, their selection is put on hold for 24 hours until the receipt/proof of donation is provided to the retailer. If a smaller amount, the credit valid for six months.

The donation program, which is valid in the U.S. only, will be active till April 30, 2020. Clients should contact their nearest authorized retailer for more information and a list of eligible watches.

“The Helping Heroes program is a small way we can encourage individuals to give back to our healthcare workers and stand together,” says Gustavo Calzadilla, President of Parmigiani Fleurier Americas. “It is our hope that the program will sway those who were considering making a donation to act on it.”

In a separate move designed to help retailers who are hard-hit by the closure of their stores, Parmigiani Fleurier is implementing an e-commerce platform for the United States and Canada. This program enables jewelers working from home to source watches for their clients and gives buyers the ability to make a purchase from the safety of their home, while shifting the responsibility of product availability, shipments and other logistics to the Parmigiani Fleurier team.

During the check-out process, clients are instructed to select a retailer to support, and the sale of the watch is then credited to that retailer. If the customer skips the selection, credit for the sale reverts to the retailer closest to the delivery location. Additionally, the program supports retailers’ sales teams working from home through increased sales commissions while also offering end clients additional benefits, like a complimentary strap with purchase and complimentary scheduled maintenance service at the 3rd and 6th year of ownership.
