The Sophisticated Mercedes-EQ Formula E Bike Collection

When the Mercedes-EQ Formula E Team designed a collection of eBikes, they created streamline, lightweight and sleek designed bikes that offer the highest performance in an electric bike.

Drawing upon knowledge from the top echelons of Mercedes-Benz motorsports performance and electric advancements, these eBikes are the most sophisticated bikes on the market. They have become one of the most sought after luxury items of 2022.

Formula E

There are four luxury bikes in the collection offering varying features to cater to the rider’s experience level and style. Mercedes-Benz Formula E is a matte black color eBike that weighs a solid 45 pounds. As with three of the eBikes, the lightweight alloy wheels have puncture resistant tires. This bicycle has a single battery with a range of 43 miles. Like all the other eBikes, it can be charged 100% in 3.5 hours. This Formula E retails for $3,450.

Silver Arrows

They make a Silver Arrows and a Silver Arrows Sports eBike that both have beautiful hand polished, brushed aluminum finish and weigh 47.4 pounds. These bikes have dual 36 V batteries to provide a longer 74 mile range. The top speed is 20 mph for the Silver Arrows and 25 mph for the Sports version. The Silver Arrows retails for $3,500 and The Silver Arrows Sports retails for $3,950.

A new high performance Mercedes-Benz Championship Edition eBike was delivered to my house last week. This bike is the heaviest of the four, weighing 64 pounds including its dual batteries. When I jumped on to give it a spin, I soon discovered that it is also three times more powerful than any standard eBike on the market.

I’ve been on pedal assist eBikes before, and when traditional cyclists see me pass them, I’ve heard them mutter “cheater” when they see or hear my battery. This electric bike offers an iconic minimalistic Mercedes-Benz design with a thicker frame to conceal the batteries and motor. The digital display speedometer, battery indicator, and range is also a nice feature on this bike. Another innovative feature is a password activated security immobilizer and phone charging capability.

One can turn the dial to a preferred front suspension ride handling up to a top speed of 28 mph. The carbon belt drive, powerful motor output, and semi-slick Maxxis Hookworm tires create a silent “Catch Me If You Can” speed for 74 miles. There is also a bell to alert others you are passing on the left. This Championship Edition retails for $5,800.
