Travellers overwhelmingly want Wi-Fi during their stay [INFOGRAPHIC]

Summer travel is back! The team at HighSpeedInternet.com surveyed 1,000 Americans on their vacation internet expectations.

The results overwhelmingly indicate that access to high speed internet on vacation is a must. With 84% of respondents admitting that they would be less likely to book a short-term rental with bad internet reviews, cruise lines may be forced to handle the common sentiment that reliable Wi-Fi and sailing the seas are mutually exclusive.

The survey also revealed that:

• 65% have worked remotely during a hotel or short-term rental stay

• 83% expect to go on trips this summer

• 43% said access to Wi-Fi is very important and 30% said it is essential

• 10% said they always bring a streaming device like a Roku or Amazon Fire Stick on vacation
