Holiday Fun at JW Marriott Desert Springs

Palm Desert’s largest resort JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa is offering the ultimate holiday moments for families. One of these special events is “Boat Rides with Santa Claus.”

Take a water sleigh ride from the hotel’s lobby for a magical moment. Boats hold up to six passengers including Santa and Mrs. Claus. Blankets are onboard to keep guests warm and comfortable as they receive a Christmas coloring book and a photo opportunity with Santa. Cookies and hot cocoa are also offered, as well as spiked cider for guests over 21 years of age.

The cost is $250 for this Santa boat party. Available dates include Thursday, Dec. 21 from 5to 9 p.m., Friday Dec. 22 from 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 23 from 12 to 4 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 24 from 12 to 4 p.m.

The hotel will also offer festive holiday-themed activities and special programs starting on December 18. Couples and families can purchase a S’mores kits to enjoy fireside. There is also a cookie decorating area, a Candy Cane Scavenger hunt, and an area to write personalized letters to Santa Claus.

Other fun holiday activities include a pie eating contest, face painting, bubbles stations and arts and crafts on the East Front Drive. 

On Christmas Day, the resort’s Rockwood Grill will have a breakfast buffet from 6:30 a.m. to noon, and an afternoon and evening holiday buffet. The hotel’s Executive Chef, Eric Theiss, will provide a wide variety of main and side dishes, plus a carving station and a grand dessert station. There is even a children’s menu for little ones. Complimentary mimosas and sparkling wine is included for guests 21+.

JW Marriott Desert Springs NYE Celebration

JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa is ringing in the New Year on Sunday, December 31, at Aquifer 65 with a DJ from 9:30-12:30 a.m.  There will be a Ball Drop celebration with a sparkling wine toast at midnight. Wristbands will be required for adults 21 years and older. Table Service will be available on a first come, first serve basis with a $100 food and beverage minimum per person.
