Lexus LX 600 F Sport Roadtrip to Allegretto Vineyard Resort in Paso Robles

Lexus LX 600 F Sport Roadtrip to Allegretto Vineyard Resort in Paso Robles
Summer travel is here and when I had the opportunity to drive a new Lexus LX 600 F Sport from Los Angeles to Paso Robles, I stopped at the Tuscany-inspired Allegretto Vineyard Resort by Ayres.

While driving less than four hours along the picturesque U.S. Route 101, I appreciated the vehicle’s safety features and roomy interior. There is plenty of space in this three row SUV for luggage.

The automated emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assist made the drive smooth and safe. While maintaining a safe driving speed limit, the Lexus vehicle would slow on its own if the car in front reduced its speed. It braked when needed without me having to step on the brake pedal, and alerted me if I was getting too close to the next lane. This makes driving fun while exploring one of the most famous wine regions in California with over 200 wineries along the rolling hills.

Driving up to Allegretto Vineyard Resort by Ayres for an overnight stay, we felt as if we were transported to Tuscany, Italy.

Walking inside the upscale retreat, one appreciates all of the architectural details, arches, and grand staircase. The walls are lined with collector worthy artwork, and the ground floor spacious luxury accommodations offer a terrace with two chairs and a table.

Strolling around the gardens, one notices that the owner Doug Ayres is a spiritual man. His sonic labyrinth is a ‘Sound Circle’ utilizing music and space to evoke harmonic tones. This area encourages guests to slow their pace and become more mindful.

Another unique spiritual place is the small Abbey, a popular place for morning yoga under beautiful stained glass windows. It’s also an ideal wedding chapel for small weddings. Modeled after the rustic chapels of Europe, the Abbey blends ancient symbols with contemporary artistry to bring a sense of harmony and peace to those who visit.

Allegretto offers an onsite wine tasting room and patio. I never had to get in the Lexus LX 600 F Sport and drive to wineries in the area for different tastings. While the Lexus sat in the hotel’s parking lot, we enjoyed pours of selective small-lot vineyard wines. The grapes are grown in two regions of Paso Robles’ rich terroir. A flight of 5 premium wines includes an informative wine host pacing out each taste. Cheese and crackers can be purchased to enjoy while sipping.

When the heat starts sizzling, the outdoor swimming pool and poolside cabanas are popular for guests to cool down in the afternoon and evening.

Dining inside or out on the dining terrace at Cello Ristorante offers a menu of creative rustic Northern Italian with a fusion of Central California ingredients. Foraged and farmed items are added to salads, pastas, and proteins. There is an extensive domestic and international wine list, garden-to-glass cocktails and craft beers.

Driving back to Los Angeles in the Lexus LX 600 F Sport, we kept the vehicle on cruise control all the way home.
