Milliken Creek Inn along the Napa River

Milliken Creek Inn along the Napa River

Breathtaking serenity is discovered at the boutique Milliken Creek Inn, as guests sip a glass of Napa Valley wine while overlooking the Napa River. Located off the popular wine touring Silverado Trail, this luxury Bed and Breakfast was once a stagecoach respite stop in the mid-1850s.

The Main House was also a popular resting stop for weary travelers during California’s Gold and Silver Rush years, and continues to be a sought after place to stay while exploring Napa Valley.

When famed horticulturist Ira McKenzie lived here, he planted beautiful Japanese Maple, Live Oak, and Magnolia trees on the property, and the Valley Oaks fronting the Silverado Trail.

In 1980, the house became a guest hotel, and in 2013, Milliken Creek Inn joined the prestigious Four Sisters Inn luxury collection as a premier Bed and Breakfast hideaway along the banks of the Napa River.

Recently in the Spring 2021, the property underwent a refresh and redesign to all 11 guest rooms and shared spaces. Custom-made furnishings, curated art, modern lighting and beautiful hardwood floors meld with the natural landscape. Overlooking the calm river, new outdoor fire pits rest on many of the private terraces and balconies.

Newly renovated guest room #10

Request Room #10, also known as one of the luxurious Brookwood guest rooms. The dreamy king size bed is fitted with luxury linens and pillows overlooking a flickering fireplace.

There are two sitting areas, one for early morning coffee and one for reading or viewing the flat screen 55″ television with streaming capability. The antique looking Tivoli music player offers a variety of music stations for listening enjoyment.

In the center of the modern bathroom is a stand alone deep soaking bathtub, and a nearby spacious walk-in shower, plus an array of L’OCCITANE En Provence bath amenities.

Enjoy a flickering fire pit outside your guest room

Open the back doors leading out to your own private deck for peaceful views of green lawns, bubbling fountains and your own fire feature. One feels as if they are staying in a guest room at a wealthy friend’s private wine county estate.

Wine and culinary delights, central to life in Napa Valley are a highlight of staying at this Four Sisters Collection. Upon check-in guests are asked to select items off a breakfast menu. The following morning a hot and cold breakfast is delivered to a table on the outdoor deck or for breakfast in bed.

Decadent Breakfast in Bed

A menu of items including healthy omelets, homemade waffles, and freshly baked pastries, along with French pressed coffee and juice. It’s custom-made each morning for guests. Since this is sparkling wine country, guests can opt to add on a bottle of bubbly and make mimosas to start the morning.

At sunset guests receive a glass of Napa wine, and receive a picnic bag filled with a container of different cheese and crackers, nuts, olives and freshly baked cookies.

S’more kits are included in each room

S’mores kits are delivered in the evening for roasting and reliving the sweetness of this fond campfire dessert memory. Inside the main lobby there is port and sherry to pour and take back back to your room, or to enjoy sitting outside while listening to the crickets by the river.
