Nobu Hotel Barcelona Reopens

Nobu Hotel Barcelona Reopens
Nobu Barcelona has re-opened following its closure due to the pandemic. The hotel went through a complete multi-million dollar renovation in 2019 before the closure, so it feels like a brand new hotel.

Nobu Hospitality, the globally established lifestyle brand founded by Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper, is delighted to announce the reopening of Nobu Hotel Barcelona. The luxury lifestyle hotel officially opened in 2019 following a multi-million dollar renovation, and is excited to be welcoming guests back under new ownership, to rediscover the city and its copious cultural offerings.

The hotel has 259 spacious rooms and stylish suites, a 1615-square-foot Nobu Suite, a wellness and fitness facility, meeting and event spaces, including a newly designed 90-seat auditorium, a Nobu Café, and the hotel also boasts Nobu Restaurant with panoramic views from the 23rd floor.

The interiors, designed by award-winning architecture and design firm, Rockwell Group, seamlessly blend Japanese minimalism with the colourful character of Barcelona to create an integrated mix of luxurious hotel and energised living spaces. Recognizably Catalan-inspired designs, such as the works of Gaudi, are mingled with the traditional Japanese craft of Kintsugi; the art of repairing broken pottery incorporating either gold, silver, or platinum, to create collages of materials, textures, and spaces throughout the hotel.

Located on the top floor of the 23-story property, guests can dine at Nobu’s world-famous namesake while taking in unrivalled views of the Barcelona city line and the Mediterranean. The menu will reflect Nobu’s philosophy of locality, paying homage to local ingredients and classic Catalan cuisine, while staying true to the brand’s Japanese DNA.

Set between the charmingly Catalan neighbourhoods of Eixample and Sants, the hotel is just a five-minute stroll from Plaza de España, a ten-minute walk to Montjuïc Museum Quarter and a mere 15 minutes from Barcelona’s buzzy La Rambla. The main railway station, just minutes from the hotel, offers high-speed links to Madrid, Paris, Lyon, and Marseille making it ideal for relaxed luxury explorers and business travellers alike.
