Royal Caribbean’s Even More Perfect Day at CocoCay

Royal Caribbean’s Even More Perfect Day at CocoCay

Arriving on Royal Caribbean’s award-winning private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas, I discovered an exciting new island oasis just for adults – Hideaway Beach.

Guests can purchase a day pass to Coco Beach Club for access to an exclusive private beach with white powdery sand and clear blue warm water. Besides a clubhouse, there is a large ocean view infinity pool overlooking Hideaway Beach, and plenty of comfortable beach chairs and plush towels. Offering a relaxed vibe, it’s easy to just spend your entire day here.

Guests enjoy complimentary dining at the Coco Beach Club restaurant. On the wood deck there are tables set for two and four guests looking for an elevated dining experience. While most of the food venues on the island serve grilled burgers and hot dogs, at Hideaway Beach they features an exclusive menu of culinary items that are only prepared at the Coco Beach Club.

Guests receive two starters boxes filled with tasty and healthy snacks such as hummus, shrimp cocktail, baba ghanoush spread, pita squares, local fish ceviche, and tzatziki dip.

Entries include a large Caesar salad with the option to add chicken, filet mignon or shrimp on top. They offer a Cabana burger, herb marinated filet mignon with roasted garlic potatoes and grilled vegetables or broiled lobster tails served with truffle French fries.

Order the signature Coco Lobster Sandwich with a crunchy coconut crusted lobster on a brioche bun with avocado, and rum soaked pineapple salsa. This is served with truffle enhanced French fires.

Desserts include Bahamian Rum soaked cake, chocolate chip cookies, caramel and chocolate brownie, exotic fruit salad or tropical fruit sorbet.

For the ultimate indulgence, guests who reserve a private overwater cabana will receive a dedicated attendant to provide food and beverages from the Coco Beach Club restaurant. Riding a bike cart onto the dock, attendants make sure guests are well taken care of while soaking up endless aquamarine views.

Similar to overwater bungalows in Tahiti, these are the first bungalows in the Bahamas. Besides comfortable lounge chairs, there are overwater hammocks, a fresh water shower, plush towels and a private slide on the deck to enter the crystal clear blue water below.

Another inviting spot to soak up the Bahamian sunshine is sitting at the infinity pool. Nearby is a circular bar pouring and blending creative tropical drinks. Poolside attendants are always close by to refresh a glass and hydrate guests sitting near the pool or on the beach.
