Spring Spa and First Lady Suite Experiences at The Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles

The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Los Angeles debuts a menu of custom spring spa experiences, inspired by the Ladurée macarons most popular spring flavors such as raspberry, hibiscus, black tea, citrus and rose. These flavor notes are infused into a selection of treatments that take guests on a wellness journey awakening the senses through smell, touch and taste.

Upon arrival, guests will be greeted with a Ladurée macaron and enjoy a cup of Ladurée herbal tea in the spa’s sanctuary. Ladurée is the world’s most renowned patisserie known for its sophisticated macarons. Following the spa experience, guests will be gifted with a box of macarons and a signature Los Angeles Ladurée candle to enjoy at home.

Guests can choose a Printemps Pedicure inspired by the Hibiscus macaron, this luxe aromatic foot treatment includes tangy scents layered with notes of floral, rose and grapefruit. The treatment includes a rose and grapefruit infused sugar scrub, application of rose oil, nail care and polish. ($245 | 50 minutes).

The Berry Bisou Facial draws upon the light and fruity perfume of the classic Framboise macaron, this facial features a blend of raspberry, blueberry and blackberry essences to refine the complexion and improve overall appearance. Includes gentle exfoliation and pore refining mask. ($320 | 50 minutes).

Those who select the Haute Honey Body Treatment receive Ladurée’s signature Marie-Antoinette macaron that inspires a decadent body treatment using a rich blend of black tea with hints of rose petals, citrus and honey, leaving the skin soft and glowing. The treatment also includes a lavender sea salt exfoliation, honey glaze body wrap, and massage with grapefruit infused oil. ($545 | 100 minutes).

For those who indulge in the Let Them Eat Cake Package will receive an over-the-top, luxury experience fit for Marie Antoinette herself includes ($5,000++) that includes the entire collection of The Ritz-Carlton Spa x Ladurée treatments (Printemps Pedicure, Berry Bisou Facial, Haute Honey Body Treatment). Guests stayone night in an Executive Suite at The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles. A Bath Butler will draw a luxe soaking bath featuring fragrant oils, hydrating shimmer lotion, eye mask and other spa essentials. Also take an official Ladurée factory tour and live pastry class with up to four friends and family. During this VIP experience, guests will get a behind-the-scenes look into the process, recipe and have the opportunity to pipe and decorate macarons. SHOWTIME

Also at the Ritz Carlton is an unveiling of THE FIRST LADY Suite in collaboration with the new SHOWTIME drama – THE FIRST LADY. On Tuesday, April 19, the public can walk through the hotel lobby to see displays of elegant period costumes worn by Viola Davis as Michelle Obama, Michelle Pfeiffer as Betty Ford and Gillian Anderson as Eleanor Roosevelt. Then on to the presidential suite for a guided tour to get a peek behind the curtain into the lives of the First Ladies in the series.

In the suite, the 1970s color scheme is indicative of the Ford period, with set pieces and props from the production set. The color scheme exemplifies Betty Ford’s personality and SoCal sensibilities. This suite also features a scale model of the Betty Ford Center, emblematic of Ford’s candid transparency to affect change in attitudes toward substance abuse, as well as copies of medical files from Ford’s public battle against breast cancer.

See stylish 60s and 70s silk robes, and formative pieces of literature for Ford and her trailblazing advocacy such as The Feminine Mystique. Multimedia moments including audio, video and behind the scenes clips that reveal what it may have been like to live in the White House Residence.

Each visitor will also be able to pose for their very own First Lady-style digital portrait.
