The Godfrey Hotel Detroit, is a 227-room luxury lifestyle hotel located in Detroit’s historic Corktown neighborhood that opened its doors for business in August of 2023. The ground-up development is located at 1401 Michigan Avenue and is member of the Curio Collection by Hilton and features I/O Rooftop Lounge, the Lobby Bar, a 5,000 square foot ballroom, in-room dining, a fitness center and Hamilton’s Corktown – a 7 day a week, breakfast/lunch/dinner restaurant. The seven-story hotel has five room options for guests (that include King and Queen beds), pet-friendly rooms and digital check-in.

I/O Rooftop Lounge is Detroit’s largest open-air rooftop bar, has a retractable glass panel roof and retractable glass wall for year-round access and offers panoramic views of the city’s skyline. I/O Rooftop Lounge is open daily and has its own elevator for non-hotel guests to utilize the multiple bars and lounge, meeting areas and event spaces. 

Hamilton’s Corktown, the property’s full-service restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week and features a vibrant neighborhood tavern feel, focused on providing the guests with an approachable, yet refined dining experience. Hamilton’s can accommodate 93 guests in its dining room and bar, and 38 on its ground floor outdoor terrace along Michigan Ave., allowing guests to enjoy the modern, urban aesthetic of Corktown. 

Hamilton’s food and beverage offerings highlight local and seasonal ingredients along with a well-thought-out beverage program. While staying focused on classic American fare, Chef Nyle Flynn has developed menus for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner that will suit just about any diner’s needs. Highlights include Hamachi, Roasted Beet Salad, Seared Ahi Tuna Salad, Half Roasted Chicken, Halibut Fish+Chips and Lentil Ragu’.

Hamilton’s is named after the founder of Carhartt Clothing, the founder of the Carhartt Inc. The Godfrey Hotel Detroit sits on the site of Carhartt’s first factory.
