With its rich history and vast, sprawling coastline, Norway boasts one of the best gourmet scenes in the world right now. But how did our history affect our food scene? How did we overcome the harsh weather conditions, freezing cold soil and generations of outward emigration, to get to today? This journey will take you on a culinary voyage of discovery where you will witness these cultural and traditional differences at first hand while moving 11 degrees of latitude along the way.

  • Dining in Michelin starred and locally beloved restaurants, renowned for neo-fjordic menus, open charcoal grilling and straight from the source Norwegian produce;

  • Tasting rich Norwegian cooking traditions such as smalahove, the notorious sheep’s head, and beer brewed with Kveik yeast;

  • Sampling Norway’s liquid gold and meeting passionate local producers on the Cider Trail;

  • Fishing for King Crab, exploring the local fish market, and foraging local forests;  and,

Learning about Norwegian cuisine and the generations who have made it the way it is today. Lodging ranges from a unique art hotel that has been in the same family for over four generations to a suite with a panoramic window overlooking the Russian border; and more.
